Thank you for stopping by to view this beautiful C1 Corvette located in FLORIDA.

As you know, 1962 marked the end of the C1 Corvette era and did it in great style. The design of the 1962 Corvette is unique among the C1 models because you could not order two-tone exterior paint. The body and its coves were painted the same color. The 1962 Corvette has earned its place in Corvette history and certainly is a beautiful example of American design.

Presented for your review and purchase consideration is this beautiful example of a Honduras Maroon 1962 Corvette. The owner (since 1986) has maintained the Corvette exceptionally well and it is in very good condition. No, it is not a show car but it is a Corvette you will be proud to own and enjoy. Of course, you might even be tempted to show it at your local cruise in or car show.

Over the decades the current owner gradually improved the appearance and mechanical condition of the Corvette. In fact, he kept a record of everything he has done and that list is extensive.

The lacquer paint was re-sprayed in the mid eighties but you would never know it. It is well preserved. The interior is also very nice and shows minimal wear. It is yet another visual testimony to the excellent care given this Corvette by its owner.

Lift the hood and you will see a 327 Corvette block (1965 vintage) that has most all of the period correct components bolted on. The owner?s intent was not to restore it for judging but simply make it look correct for the time period. Well done indeed!

The engine horsepower is estimated to be three hundred. That would be appropriate judging by the tachometer redline. The engine runs strong and has that familiar classic exhaust note. You will certainly enjoy driving this C1 Corvette and shifting the 4-speed.

The other options on this Corvette are a Positraction differential, whitewall tires and an AM Signal Seeking Radio.

The fiberglass body panels appear to be factory-original. The frame is in very good original condition and shows no evidence of repair or modifications from stock. The frame was undercoated a long time ago probably in the eighties.
