The Ranting RoomGot a gripe about life? Want to sound off about the unfairness of the universe? Does something just REALLY piss you off? Well, come on in and talk about it!
Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking..... Is that two unrelated questions?
Whenever I click on any of the "RSS FEED" I get a message that says I have to log on to enable myself to see what is there. I'm confused. I thought I was already logged on? I guess it is two questions; 'cause I don't know what or who is a RSS FEED?
The "RSS FEED" is a member name I created in order to handle the remote feed links to other sites to bring Florida and Corvette related info into this site. This is a real handy little function to help tie together multiple sites on the internet. I use it in the Just For Laughs forum to tie together ALL similar forums on the sites I run. Unfortunately, though, it's not bidirectional and only feeds the original post that starts a thread.
There is a link within each of those RSS FEED threads that takes you back to the original source of that information feed.
So I'm still confused on what you are clicking on to get a message that you have to log on. Are you clicking on the LINK in the post?

Example: Your last thread titled "It most probably would". Joke about Johnny and Obama. Read joke - funny. Click on, in yellow, "Attachment 9962", goes to a website titled Armslocker.com and requests a log on. Click on "4354_image.png" takes me to Armslocker.com and requests a log on????
Ah... I see. The problem was because attachments (image files) were being disabled to unregistered viewers. This is simply a precaution that many site admins will undertake to keep search engine spiders and the like from bloating bandwidth by downloading images that they really won't view when spidering and indexing a post with attachments.
I changed that setting to see how things go.....
Thanks for giving me the details for that particular problem.
