I'm Alive
Today I want to Rant about myself. Yup that's right you read it correctly. Friday after splitting up with my girl and she shattered my cell phone on the street(now minus$400.00) I laughed and drove away. Fast that is like Forest Gump running after a box of chocolates. I was driving to fast, angry and the weather was ****z. Raining. I came up to a bridge just blocks from the house and when I got to the top of the bridge I realized I had no more steering. First reaction eject. Oops it's not a jet. Second reaction... you dumb azz why are you going 86 miles an hour with the acceleration pedal to the floor in the rain cresting the top of the bridge?
Told you I think outside the normal box. Once I crested the top of the bridge and had no steering I applied the brakes knowing it wouldn't help but hey you do what comes natural. I kept my steering wheel straight as I could but my azz end slid around me 90 deg. Now I am definitely in trouble.
Now I am going down the bridge sideways and Im seeing street light poles cross my field of view. 1, 2, 3, 4, oh ****z. I just know I am going to go off the bridge.
Then my car still going side ways at an undetermined speed, I pass a car parked on the side of the road. Then another and another.
My car decided to go back straight so I could see what I am going to hit before I die. finally after what seemed like an eternity my car gripped the road and with my brakes still locked up I put a 20 foot skid mark in the road.
The morale of this story is: Being angry, driving way over the speed limit and still accelerating, rain and driving a vette don't mix very well. I certainly learned a lesson. I just knew I was a goner. And over what? My name is sandman and I am an adrenaline junkie and I am glad to be here tonight. Anyone know where those classes are? Not AA or NA, but AJ (Adrenaline Junkie!!!)
Seriously I don't get off on adrenaline like that!!

Hydroplaning
It's called hydroplaning. When it's wet, anything above 55 is asking for trouble. Hit a small puddle and you can feel it right away. I know where you are coming from but next time count to 10.

That’s crazy….. both your ex-girl and your driving. You’re luck you made it out alive… from both your ex- girlfriend and your driving.
Why didn’t you have steering? Was it because of the rain and the speed, or did it lock up on you?
Whatever the case may be, I’m just glad to hear you’re ok and nothing happened to your car. 
What a lesson to learn. Good thing you didn’t have to learn the VERY hard way.
NOW! Don’t drive mad again young man. And you’re grounded for one week.
Now got to your room….and NO computer for you.

SM, glad to see you lived through that in order to make a lesson of it. Many don't. You never know when your last mistake will be.
Funny how the right foot acts when you get angry. It's pretty much impossible to control without EXTREME effort.....

No I slide on the wet pavement, Hydroplaining is what it is called. I was doing 86 when I realized I had no more steering. I grew up in the snow and never had a problem. But the wet roads is totally different. I couldn't do nothing. Not even stick my head between my legs to kiss my azz goodbye.
