Just had my slave/master cyl and clutch replaced. When they put the ZF back together they hooked up the thingy that forces me to to shift from 1st. directly into 4th. It's a pain in the butt and an accident waiting to happen. Can I put it back to the way it was myself or should I take it back to the shop that the clutch work?

Thanks for your help.

It's certainly something you can do yourself. It takes a CAGS eliminator available from many of the forum vendors. This little device costs less than $20 and just plugs into the wire going into the transmiaaion.

Since the clutch guys removed the old one you may want to go back there and ask them to put it back in. That should only take them 5 minutes and shouldn't cost you anything.
