Ive been a western freak since I was little,This looks promising
I make Greg watch at least one john wayne movie a week (he was deprived)
 
Is this a remake? While visiting family up north recently remember watching movie of same name on TCM with my mom. Was black and white, a western.
 
This is a remake starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Same basic story line but with all the modern technology. This one is bound to get a lot of Oscar nominations as the acting, directing, production etc. are all excellent. It is one of the best westerns I have seen in many years.
 
My wife and I saw this tonight. I liked it and she thought it was just ok. There were sure alot of bullets flying around. It was nice to see a cowboy-western flick for once. :thumbsup:

That's understandable, a lot of ladies don't like violent and/or western movies. My wife, on the other hand, likes shoot-em-ups, especially if Russell Crowe or 24's Kiefer Sutherland is in them. I guess that comes from being around LEO's for so many years.
