450 HP Summit Engine For Sale - SOLD !

LEJ ZO6

LEJ ZO6
I have a 388 Cu. In. stroker engine I need to get rid of.

It has less than 5000 miles on it. I bought it as a crate engine from Summit. It cost about $4700 new. It was in my 1974 Corvette. I drove it to work occassionally, autocrossed it occassionally, and took it to DeSoto Dragway with TBV for a test and tune day once. The car weighed 3420 lbs, T400, 2800RPM stall, 750 double pumper, LT-1 Intake, 4.56 rear, 9" slicks and ran 12.5 sec. and 120 MPH in the quarter mile. It runs on 93 octane pump gas and will drive power brakes and air. I did add an idle boost solenoid to raise the RPM a bit when the air was turned on. I pulled the engine and replaced it with the original when I sold the car last year. My intention was to use it in a street rod. Well, I bought a ZO6 and no longer have plans to build a street rod. So, this engine is up for sale.

No intake, carb, distributor, fuel pump, water pump or pulleys. Other than these parts, the engine is complete.

I sold the LT-1 Intake and Holley carb with the '74 but I have an Edlebrock Victor Junior and a 750 double pumper I would sell for $300 with the engine if the buyer wants them. The distributor went with the '74 also but I do have an Accel electronic distributor with tach drive that I would sell with the engine for $150.

I'd like to get $2000 for the engine. I think it's in good condition but I am selling it "used, as is" because I don't want any hard feelings with anyone on the forum if you break it. You can pick it up in Wesley Chapel or I will try to coordinate delivery about anywhere in Central Florida. I don't really want to crate it and ship it anywhere.
