Well, the latest much hoped for deal to sell my '66 Vette, "Love Is Blue" seems to have fell through, for the moment at least.
I didn't even have enough money to put new tags on it on my birthday at the end of September since the state doubled the fees, so it's sitting in my garage and the man who flew in to see it from Edmonton, AB, to look at it over Thanksgiving.
He left without saying 'yes' or 'no', saying he was going to check on a truck in Pensacola to pull it back home with. He later called and said he bought the truck but was going head back home with the truck and look into alternate means of transportating the Vette back to Canada. That was a couple of weeks ago and still no reply to e-mails. The waiting is killing me. :toetap05:
I can't enjoy the Vette for fear of hurting something I can't afford to fix and I can't seem to get anyone to come through with the money so they can enjoy it now.
Life is hard, but this waiting is hardest of all.
I DID finish hooking up the NX nitrous system and purge. It now blows through the side gills in the hood. Very cool and throws snow flakes onto the windhield and fenders if you hold it on too long.

Just wanted to say HI to you all and keep you updated why I haven't been at any shows or cruises lately.

Sorry to hear that, Glenn, and I know what you mean. I got strung along for MONTHS from someone who said they were going to buy my business. Turned out they were full of BS......

Hopefully someone will come through for you.

Well, it IS a lot of money and in these times playthings take a back seat to real every day needs, so I DO understand why it's so hard to find someone to part with such a large sum of money on a play toy. Only those with a lot of money are in great shape during these times cause they can steal things for half their worth simply because they HAVE money to spend. I'm not saying anything new you all don't already know.

Funny though, after I posted this thread last night and went to bed, when I got up this morning I found an e-mail from the Canada guy saying he had JUST gotten back (due to the really bad weather across America since he lives on the west coast of Canada) and that he was going to get some sleep and would contact me tomorrow.
You never know, it may still work out, but I can't hold my breath much longer!!!:ack2:
I sure am anxious to find out SOMETHING one way or the other.
Will keep my friends here informed as it goes along.:thumbsup:
