ALL CORVETTE SHOW APRIL 6, 2008

:thumbsup:OK "Goldie's" washed, :thumbsup:polished :thumbsup:and spiffed up for Sundays show. Armando, Joe and Deb, Jim, Star and all. I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll. Are we gathering for breakfast on the way in?

Ken;)

Dave are ya gonna be there?

Ken
I have alot going on but I sure plan on going..You mentioned meeting up for food, I am not sure but
I believe they started serving breakfast at the Lube..Don't know how good it would be, never tried it.
I do know of a good spot about half mile south on the same street).. 8180 49th street Parkside Cafe. Lots of parking, some large tables and pretty good breakfast..Let me know if anyone is interested. They get pretty busy on Sunday..So early would be best...

Breakfast

Someone told me that Quaker will NOT be open for breakfast Sunday. I know, I know, they are advertising but it was rumored. BUT, there is a great place not far from there called Smitty's. I eaten there a few times and they have great "home cookin'" type food! I can't remember the address but I sure if you look it can be found. See ya all there!!! :vette:

Smitty's is on 122nd ave..on the east side of 49th..Not bad. Just a few blocks from the Lube. Can't remember how much parking they have.

Deb and I will be leaving here 9:30-10:00. We will be at the Hess Station at SR 70 & I-75 around that time. Join us there.

Joe B.

My ETA @ the QS&L will be about 9AM...hopefully rain will hold off until much later. Bringing extra rags anyway for that liquied sunshine we all love so much....If I run into you guys on I-75, I will join the formation...

We will be looking for ya.

Don't want to put a damper on the weekend but channel 10 is calling for a 70% chance of the liquid sunshine on Sunday. :nonod:

Looks like i wont be able to make it. Car is still in the shop thanks to ATI holding up my s/c.

We've got the storms heading through north Florida today that will likely be down south tomorrow. Looks like some rough weather......

I can pile 5 people into the Elephant Chaser and enough tarps in the back to cover a garage:lmao::lmao:

3 feet of water? No problem.......

One good thing...looking at the weather map it's going to rain for the next few hours and then it looks clear after that, and registration doesn't start till 10am tomorrow so hopefully it will stop raining and have a chance to dry up some before some us hit the road. It's 100 miles for me to get to QS&L and I'm not about to do that kind of driving on wet roads before a show. Going home maybe, but not before a show.

Of course the afternoon sea breeze will start it all up again and we'll get soaked going home. :ack2:

RECAP:

Kudos to BACC for todays show / Weather behaved until after the judging / event location and available food was great / Florida Corvette Members faired well again with approximately5-6 wins (correct me if I am wrong) / and to cap everything off for those of us who headed south on I-75, the US Thunderbirds were going through their acrobatic maneuvers to the east of the interstate in Pt Charlotte.

One suggestion for next year: dash plaques and/or tee shirts...

Yep a good haul except for Deb and me. I believe we were the only CF members to leave with no award. At least Deb gets to look at Joe's 1st place plaque. I'll have to blame my loss on the judge, eh Pres :lmao: :lmao:

Some of us didn't have to drive that far, but glad you guys had a great show. At least we came home to more sunshine, but now it's raining.

Good Show, Good People and Good Food
Joe was the official photo taker so :toetap05:
