I found this site months ago in a time of desperation, After buying a 1996 CE from a private individual I soon Realized I had been " Bamboozelled". Vehicle had frame damage. The rear of the car was pushed 1.5 in or so to driver side, Owner had 11 in rim on passenger side 9 in rim on driver side...hid damage very well...I didn't catch it. Drove car for a day.....no problems yet......Next day take car to Tire shop..call them "Rim Queendom" just to be cool. Anyway, SQUISHED floorpan from improper lift.....Never noticed rim difference...just forced rear tire on smaller rim "No reason to let me know somethin up" Next on to the machine ..4 wheel linement. "Lined it up good...." I was told. I saw the floorpan while the car was on that machine. Told manager....no good . "Still had not spotted rim Difference". Late in day ..time to leave. Drive off to a ticking rear end of car ..Take to dealer..ride with mech...Need a new hub,,,$750...Get new hub....tick still there ..Story goes on...but I'm getting tired of typing. 6 months later meet A fellow Named Dale at At Tropical Auto in Fort Pierce Fl...So far he has repaied Everything on my list plus...First person in this whole mess to start pulling the situation back to good.Car will be finished next week and back to almost perfect condition..3.54 gears..New weatherstripping....Paint touched up......Floor repaired....For a bit I had little hope...Now I see the finish line.Lessons learned!

Wow.... sounds like an absolute nightmare to me. If it were me, I'd see about getting the seller on the wrong end of a lawsuit.

That doesn't mean "as I mislead and lied to you to believe it was"...... If you can convince your district attorney that this is criminal misrepresentation, then you won't even have to pay your own attorney to pursue it. Obviously the guy HAD to have known of the problems and if he did not disclose those problems to you before the sale, then he intentionally misrepresented the merchandise.
