I'm looking for a nice resort to spend a few days at....I'm in Tallahassee. Looking for something really nice, eg. five-star or higher. Destin? Panama City? Near JAX?? Amelia Island?? Thanks everybody!:D
 
A 5 star hotel is going to pretty much limit you to a Ritz Carlton, 4 Seasons, or Fairmont Resorts. I would suggest doing a web search for these but plan on opening your wallet! A Grand Hyatt is very nice and not as expensive.
 
Run (don't walk) to the Ritz Carlton at Reynolds Plantation (on Lake Oconee) GA. It's just south of I-20 halfway between Atlanta and Augusta. The beauty of the area reminds me of Lake Tahoe and is a pleasant change from FL. Probably about a 4 hr drive for you. Fabulous golf, tennis, boating along with your average amenites of the Ritz. The entire Reynolds Plantation development is 1st cabin all the way!! Check their wesite...well worth the trip!:yesnod:
 
I have been to the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island real nice especially if you can get there in March for the concours. If you are into BandB's Casa Grand View in WPB is a 5 star level that I would recommend.
