There was a case one time of a Mom or Dad, I can't remember which. They did not normally take their kid, this day was an exception to the every day routine. Sure enough, with work on the mind the parent forgot the kid was back there, forgot to drop off at daycare and went in to work. It was devastating for them as you can imagine.

I never left my daughter in the car, even if I was just running in the 7-11 for milk, she never stayed in the car by herself period. But I can see how this happened to the parent in my story, I'm so thankful that that never happened to my little girl.

It's the people who leave the kids there on purpose I don't understand. They fill up with gas and run in to pay. I know it's a royal PITA to get the kid out of the seat but you absolutely can not leave a kid in the car alone. I've heard of several instances where people do that and either the car gets stolen or the kid gets it out of park. All with tragic results.
