Audio installer referral?

Not sure if this is the right place, and i wanted to keep the shop referrals, to actual company info, not who does what work.

In the near future amongst wheels, brakes and supercharger upgrade, im looking into ripping out the nav/blose system to install a pioneer d3 with components and some real woofers. Does anyone recommend a shop in the bradenton/sarasota/tampa area, who can do this? ive been installing car stereo for a while but due to my disability is makes it a lil harder, specially on these tiny car cabins.

this thread on the evil corvette forum, inspired me.

i just dont trust your average circuit city / best buy installers. most of'em dont even know how to work a multimeter.

Mad Marks on 1st street right across from Firkins Mitsubishi. Theyve done three of my cars and are going to do the vette when the time comes. And thier Kicker stuff is all on sale, so nows the time!

My son in law is a salesman there and he said the installers know what there doing.
Ask Rickey Joe Saturday night and he'll tell you where not to go. Also, Tim installed the DVD/ Nav and speakers etc in Rickey Joe's C5.
Good Luck where ever you go.

Im not to fond of Mad Marks. I got screwed over when i had my explorer there with them. When i walk in for a dash harness, i was told 43 bucks out the door, said ok. When i go to pay i was at 168 bucks for a part they grabbed out of a throw away box.

I have used Cartunes in Largo, for my car. I have been happy with the work. I can barely stand to get out of my car now that the stereo is done. Talk to Mike or Shauwn, they are good people.

It was the last upgrade on mine after pretty much all the others on your list. I just wish at some point I could quit doing things to my car. I am a modaholic.

You saw what Tim did for Ricky Joe's car at the last show. I thought Tim did an awesome install. From your post, you're not happy with Mad Marks but they seem to have the best reputation in town.

Mad Marks is the best. That sucks you arent wanting to go there. They did my mom and dads cars and boats and theyve done mine too. never once had a problem in the last 15 years or so.

Yep, they've done a lot of work on my truck and plan on taking my vette to them when other stuff stops breaking. :banghead:

Ill keep tim in mind when it comes to the audio aspect. first is new wheels, and widebody, then the car is going boosted.

I hear mixed reviews about mad marks, what upset me the most was how they handled customer service. mark himself told me on the phone and in person when i arrived the price. then his father took care of the money, and made up a 120 dollar difference. i got upset and basically got a pay up or will rip it back apart tone.

if it wasnt for my ankle i would def be ripping out all the bose/nav myself but just not as nimble as i used to be.

We have one next door, Tommy is the current and 11 time db drag champion (worlds loudest truck)...lol

That is all I know of
