Back in a Vette again

It's been a long time since I've owned a Vette and searched the good ole USA for weeks trying to find what I wanted then BAM!, there she is.
I just picked up a 1977 Covette in orange with a 4-speed and she looks like brand new. Can't wait to get her home coming from the San Francisco area.
:welcome:

:dancer01:Whoo hoo!!!
Welcome back!:wavey:

Now get some picks of that thing up here pronto!

 That sure would be a nice ride back home if you were doing it that way.

Yeah, as long as he avoids the Midwest and New England. Corvettes with wheel chains JUST don't look good! :rofl1: Welcome to the forum, enjoy your ride, and keep posting......preferably with pictures!

My Vette

I searched everywhere on the net finally locating this one in the San Francisco area. I had my eye on another one but turns out it had 125,000 on it instead of the 25,000 I was told.
I would love to fly out and drive her home but having it shipped. I haven't decided on which transporter yet but A-1 has very high reviews with a decent price. I hope it turns out to be as nice as it appears. Once home I want to put headers with the chrome sidepipes on her.
I wanted an orange one because back in the 70's a friend used to park his with the keys in it and a buddy and I would take her little spins.
My first Vette was a white 73, then a beige 76, and finally a black & silver
80.

See what you think....

Looks perfect! Welcome back to Vette ownership. It took me awhile but I am back and don't plan on leaving again. Just need to talk my cousin out of his 77. His looks like the one you bought except in Red.

If that thing is as nice as the photos Richard you've got a sweet looking ride. Would you mind me asking the shipping costs involved with a deal like that? I don't have a need to know but I'm just curious.

BTW, there's a round looking object on top of the engine. What is that? :rofl1:

your vette

Looks great Rich.

I hope it meets all of your expectations and you have a blast driving her around. :dancer01:

Cost on an open carrier is average $800, an enclosed is closer to 2 grand. I'm opting for the open carrier. :ack2:

From what I could see, you landed an awesome car. It will make New Smyrna look great! I love that area, such a beach town vibe and feel. Drive her with pride and flaunt that vette off, just don't burn your leg on the sidepipes lol

Expensive shipping. I bet you could find somebody on the street to drive it back cheaper. Of course it would smell like Pee and BO if you got it back:)
