BELIEVE OR NOT?

Nah..... Not enough noise for a car going 200 mph, much less camera shake and vibration. The noise of 200mph air going past the windows and top would be quite substantial as would the road noise from the tires.

Also it sounds like vehicles are PASSING this car. Lastly, the cop's siren is getting CLOSER when you are logging 200 mph. I don't think there are many, if any, cop cars that will exceed 200 mph.

In the still shot at the beginning, it shows around 195 mph with the tach registering over 7,000 rpm. A bone stock C5 just can't get past the rev limiter.

So, what's the "rest of the story"? :D

good guess, but wrong,on a dyno, you would have a drag effect when you slowed down from the rollers.:hehehe:

When you start the car the gauges all bounce to the max then back down. Sort of an electronics test the car does each time. The video was slowed down to make it look real. I didn't have my speakers on so I never heard the sound.

Ok,the secret is out,Yes that was my vette and yes I did hit 200mph.

And this is how I did it,first off I never did say I was on a road.I did it for fun and just to see it on video.

The pictures we're taken when you turn the key one, which by the way is hard to do,getting the photo when it hit 200 was hard,I took over 25 photos to get that one,They video is not slowed down or speed up,they sounds we're added, just for effects.

I had jacked up the rear and took of the traction control and off she went, slowly up to 200mph,all the temps and pressure we're fine,no damage done.I thought it was cool.I get bored and start to tinker with things,Mary won't let me take apart anymore.:lmao::lmao:

Thanks for all the guesses,
