Bradenton cruise

I recall a few years back, several of us from the site got together and took a cruise along Manatee Counties beautiful waterfront, embibed at sime of the spectacularly laid back and welcoming beach establishments, and enjoye dsome of the inland fare a a local Mexican eatery in ellenton:dancer01:

Yesterday, after leaving my aunt's graveside service at the fogartyville cemetary, I found myself traveling along that same waterfront residential area, reminisceing of the stops we made (remember the Ninja Turtle brothers Mark?) and having lunch at Popi's after passing the Mexican place (my aunt loved Popis and we did this in her honor).

What do you folks think about another guided tours thought that beautiful area, once again guided by our tourmaster Mark (Thor)?

Just a thought and suggestion?

Gordon

Sorry to here about your aunt . these days I'm ready for a cruise any place lets go !:vette::vette::vette::vette::vette::vette::vette:

Yeah, Connie and I would like an excuse to get away for something like that.

Oh, I see you have volunteered me as tour guide. No problemo Senor'. I actually was talking to Tom of Corvette Anonymous about running this cruise again and having them join us as well. Last time we did it it was in July and hotter than hell. Perhaps a September run would be easier but heck, September could be hot too.

Marak, my Ninja Turtle brother, I honestly can't think of a better person to head it up!

That last one was awesome!!!

Glad to do it my friend. I wish you could have gone on our Back to Mother Earth cruise I set up in March for Corvette Anonymous. We started out at a winery and then toured Myakka State Park, had a picnic and airboat ride to see some gators, then cruise the twisty back roads and then took everyone to a Hydropontic Farm, and then ended the long day at Mattison's on the river. Everyone wants to repeat that one again in the winter months and I'll make sure you're on the list, vette or no vette. Heck we had a Jaguar and a motorcycle on that cruise. I hope you'll bring your lovely bride too.

Sounds like fun Mark:thumbsup:

I'm not a member anymore. When I get another vette I'll rejoin.

The back to mother Earth tour sounds like a hoot. Almost sounds like a 4wd trip:)

Next time you guys wanna do some Airboating, let me know? Our Airboat SAR team trains on the Little Manatee. Gators everywhere...no problem seeing them:) Avoiding them can be a bit of an issue at times:lmao: We'd be happy to take you guys along:thumbsup:

The rest of the tour sounds equally exciting. Yes, please keep me on the list...I might even join to show members how to fight the affliction:rofl1::rofl1:

Now that she's retired, I try to take her as many places with me as I can.

With the little one running around and living at home here, it's a bit tougher these days...we still manage though:thumbsup:

Absolutely the BEST cruise I've been on! Had a BUNCH of fun, learned a lot of new things as well, saw some old friends, met some new ones, and visited three places that I've never been to before. I would HIGHLY recommend being on this cruise to anyone that hasn't done it, and the people that have done it, don't need any recommendations to repeat it! Took about 3 months for the weather to cooperate, but when it did.............WOW!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
