C5 Brake dust on wheels

Do you all know an easy way to clean the interior of stock C5Z wheels without having to pull each wheel. Beautiful when clean but dirty quickly. I'm thinking a smaller nylon brush on a flexible wire frame to just reach around in there and scrub.

How do you guys keep um clean?

Can pull the wheels one at a time but that's a major PITA.

I've used a long soft bristle brush, like the ones you use to clean the back of refrigerator coils, with Meguiars wheel cleaner with real good results. Just do one wheel at a time so the stuff doesn't dry on the wheel before you can rinse it off.

Oh, and the stuff WILL discolor concrete......

You might also consider switching to ceramic pads. I did, and it made a big difference in the amount of dust. It's a good option if you don't track your car.

"Peek" never goes to the track. I like Rich's idea of a coil brush. Gonna give that a try

I think it's a tradeoff. You can use harder pads that produce less dust but are harder on the rotors, of your can use standard pads that produce more dust but are easier on wear on the rotors. Like most other things, a compromise is in order...

I agree. This vehicle tracks and stops like none I have ever owned. I'll just clean a bit more

Publix has these bottle brushs that are made of sponge. I cut one side of the sponge off and it does a great job on the inside wheels. The handle is curved so it is easy to keep the sponge flat on the surface.

The best way to clean any of the C5 wheels is to take them off the car periodically and clean them inside and out. Not the easiest thing to do but the most effective. I try to do this once a year or so. Between the times that I do this, I use the Adam's Turbo stick. It's a little pricey for what it is, but it really does a good job of cleaning the inner parts of the wheels while they are on the car. You just put the stick in a cordless drill and run it between the spokes of the wheel. It's pretty easy to use. Here is a link to the Adam's site.
