I have a 4.11:1 ring and pinion for a C3 For Sale. $100 plus $15 if I have to ship it.
I used this gear in a road race car in a 300 series carrier. The carrier cracked but the ring and pinion are still good. It is my understanding that this ring and pinion can be used in either the 300 or 400 series carrier. It includes the spacer required for use in the 300 carrier. To use it in the 400 series carrier just discard the spacer.
I was told it is not good to run the lower ratio gears (3.90 & up) in a 300 series carrier because the carrier is not strong enough. This set up lasted several seasons before the carrier cracked so, from my experience, this is not a very big problem. I'd do it again.
The diff. case is still good. It still has the caps and bearings in it. I'd sell it for $50 but it is pretty heavy and might cost a bunch to ship.
I also have a new in the box Tom's Differentials rebuild kit that I'll offer in another post. $50 plus shipping.
Oh, before someone asks, the white stuff in the photo is just grease.
