Cooler weather

Boo Hooo,Boo Hooo, was 14* and 16* last week and 20*-23* the rest of the nights.:ack2:

I am sure that if I hadn't made the decision to move away from Maryland that I would have to suffer those, or similar, temperatures.

As someone once asked me when back then I lived in Maryland, "Just why the hell would anyone live up there anyway?" My answer was "Heck, I dunno, I guess because I was born there and just didn't know any better."

:hehehe:

36f two times here this last Dec. Only one 37f last winter and only 41f the winter before that. Just never get that cold anymore.

Looks like we will be getting overnight lows in the low 30s for this upcoming Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.

But certainly a LOT better here than getting snow right now where we used to live in Maryland.

Man, it's 45 degrees outside right now and pretty windy. I swear I can feel frostbite setting in when I am outside. :dead:

I sure as heck could never move north any longer.

Got down to 33.8 degrees here last night, and been pretty breezy.

My weather station has an anemometer on it, but it is nowhere near accurate. My fault, because the directions state to place the weather station no closer than 50 ft from any obstruction. Which on my property, just is not possible to do unless it put it up in the top of a pine tree. I don't have 100 ft. diameter of open space in all points of the compass available anywhere on the property.

Overnight low of 28.0 degrees last night. Probably more of the same tonight.

Is that the DIAMETER of the telescope? Man, how much does it weigh?

Supposed to get down to 31 degrees here overnight, but I am expecting closer to 26 degrees. The forecast references the airport, and we are a bit chillier where we are. Elevation is lower at our property, so the colder air runs downhill.

Its the mirror size. It is a 18" Obsession Dob. The mirror is 2" thick. But it is easy to roll out the door with the handles and wheels on it. Local seller sold it cheap. New today it would be over $8k. Plus a crazy shipping prices. Not sure what it weighs. Over a 100lbs.

Whooee! Based on the size of the chair behind it, that must be quite a beast.

Is something like that tough to manhandle into position?

You can move it with one finger easy. Just do a search on Obsession scopes and it tells ya everything.

Got down to 32.5 degrees last night.

Those dopes at the national weather service sure missed the mark on that one. They were calling for a low of only 42 up until the temps started dropping lower, and then they changed the forecast a couple of times to try to keep up with reality. When it got down to 33.1 I ran outside to drag out the tarps to cover up Connie's pineapple plants. That was around 3 am. :(

Dumbasses have ONE job to do.......

Last night it got down to 31.1 degrees. Friday night it hit 31.7.

I guess Spring will get here sooner or later. Some of the plants have been blooming so they think it has already arrived.

Well, I am pretty darn glad I didn't decide to move to Texas. Things have been pretty brutal out there lately. Cold enough to make a global warming chicken little like Al Gore cry. :hair_on_fire:
