Yeah, I did. But I decided to overlook that unpleasant first impression and move on. Seems like a good bunch of people there, as it turned out.

I have met several members of cruzin' corvettes and everyone was very nice.... I was told that the people that were so "snobby" was the old club officers that got voted out a couple of years ago. I just never got around to going back

I AM A MEMBER OF AMERICAS CORVETTE CLUB OF SOUTH FL. ALSO THE COMPENTION DIRECTOR LOVE THE CLUB AND EVERY THING WE DO. CAR SHOWS AND CRUISES. WITH A LOT OF DINNERS WE ARE A EATING CLUB

No. don't belong....been there done that

Club's are fun, people ya meet are fun, places one caravan to are fun.
Was pres of 2 different club's in the past......Heck on the street where I live there are 8 C5's and 1 C2 427 Stingray, could start our neighborhood club, but most all of us really like going to event's to help support other club's.

I have to agree:thumbsup:

I've been a member of a couple of Corvette clubs inthe area and 2 F-body organizations.

It's why I kind of prefer the forum based groups such as this, Corvettes Anon, and such. No meetings, dues, politics (for the most part:lmao:). Just hanging out with friends and doing the Corvette thing:dancer01:

BTW, your street sounds like the place to be:thumbsup:

 That's the spirit of Corvettes Anonymous!

No meetings, no officers, just get together with great people to have a good time and to support a couple of our own causes and those of other clubs.

Heck, your neighborhood could almost be a Chapter 1 :lmao:

That is the same goal for the Caloosahatchee Corvette Cruisers - to have fun with our Vettes and not worry about who is doing what and so on...

Kinda crazy isn't it........only the wife reminded me

There's not 8 C-5's on our street, but rather 9 of them.................here's the kicker, 4 of them are red.........4 are blue the tie breaker being a silver cpe.
Gonna have to have a little talk with the owner I can see.

was just in your neck of the woods this past Sunday

NCM here, haven't found a club in the area yet.
Was driving here from Lake Mary/ Heathrow to Weirsdale and up to GATOR JOES.
Great little place, beautiful lake Weir, and met 3 other Corvette owner's there as well.

:hmm: And now for "The Rest Of The Story"

What Mr. Tripleblack51 hasn't shared is that in September of '06 he was sitting at a table of Corvette owners who were attending "Corvettes In Venice". Most of the people at the table had never met, but thought the party night preceding the show was a great ice breaker.

Someone thought it would be :cool3: to have an organization where you could walk into a restaurant in Montana and meet someone wearing a shirt with your logo.

About 30 minutes later, Tripleblack51 stood up, dramatically hung his head and said:

My Name Is Pedro and I Have A Problem!

In the blink of an eye, Corvettes Anonymous was formed!

We are NOT a club, but a loosely formed International Tongue In Cheek Support Association For Anyone With A Passion For Corvettes.

From that September evening, we have grown to > 430 members in 35 states, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Puerto Rico....... and It Is All About The Joke!

We do not have meetings, officers, or dues. Instead, we enjoy one another's company on various cruises or other informal get togethers. Here in the Tampa Bay Area, we support two primary charities: Florida Gulf Coast Chapter ~ Alzheimer's Association ~ Respite Care Services, and the RCS Food Bank of Clearwater.

We do our level best to not take ourselves seriously, but to seriously have fun sharing a common passion.

Thank You Tripleblack51 for getting this snowball rolling!

Suncoast Corvette Association. No clicky groups, no attitudes. Just a group of friendly helpful corvette folks.

Traci And I...

are members of the Cape Kennedy Corvette Club.

This is the club that has Astronauts here and there as members since 1967. Still do! I just had to join a club that included Space Cadets and not feel ashamed being one (since I work on the Space Center)! :rofl1:

Less be anemeic of anything to do is not this club! On any given weekend, there is something, or somewhere, to go with your Vette! But do we ever really need a reason??!! :hehehe:

Every now and then we've hooked up with clubs in the area for multiple club sponsered events/function/fund raiser, and dare I say, even hooking up with the Tampa and a club or two on the Gulf side! Fun had by all of course! :dancer01:

I was a member of NCRS for a while until I entered one of their shows. I will NEVER do that again! Perhaps these folk who ran this particular show just didn't know how to make an otherwise boring event fun? To me, and please don't crucify me for this, but for me, NCRS takes the fun out of owning a Corvette. I'm not commenting on their judging skills and I'm not squawking about how my car ranked. I received 3rd Flight. I thought it was a bore. Sorry NCRS members! :nonod:

We are a new club that has fun no bye laws. just a good time. Car shows should be fun not about the winning all the time. If you do not like how they judge your car you should become a judge. Love to have you stop at one of our meeting . We are cutting our membership off at 50 already have 35 members
