Corvette Racing Appoints Andrea Hidalgo As Programme Manager
Longtime GM/Corvette Racing engine specialist moves into management role ahead of 2026 season
Corvette Racing has announced that GM Motorsports and Corvette engine specialist Andrea Hidalgo has been appointed as the new Programme Manager for the 2026 season.Hidalgo replaces outgoing Programme Manager Jessica Dane, who has left the company.
Previously, Hidalgo was the Senior Race Engine Calibration, Development, and Track Support Engineer for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R programme, working at GM’s Performance and Racing Center.
Her time with General Motors dates back to 2008, first as an intern, then as part of the GM production team in 2010. She spent a number of seasons as part of Corvette Racing’s factory team during the C8.R era. Hidalgo’s technical background includes expertise in the areas of combustion, drivability, aftertreatment, diagnostics, and transmission development.
She most recently served as a trackside support engineer for Corvette Racing customer TF Sport in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and in select European Le Mans Series events last year. Hidalgo also led controls development and implementation efforts for Corvette customer teams, as part of the manufacturer’s efforts towards meeting FIA GT3 engine regulations.
Hidalgo’s first assignment as Program Manager for Corvette Racing will be the 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona on 24–25 January.
