Had a chance to help out the mom so I brought out the weapons.
BEFORE
Step 1: The wash
Dish wash soap (needed to cut out some OLD TurtleWax)
------Adam's Polishes Car Wash soap is pH neutral (not for removing old wax)
Adam's Polishes essentials bucket with grit guard and caddy
Adam's Polishes Wash Pad
Sprayed down the wheel wells then shot them liberally with Adam's Polishes All Purpose Cleaner. Scrubbed clean and then rinsed off using a soft brush.
Then squirted the rims and wiped them down followed with a microfiber towel dry.
Took care of the body next, washed with the top down to remind me to use the "soak" feature on the nozzle and to not squirt the car.
------This allows the water to bead rather than mist (leaving water spots.)
Step 2: The dry
Pulled the vehicle in the garage
Sprayed down with Adam's Polishes Detail Spray with our microfiber waffle drying towels.
Broke out the shop vac and dryed out the tail light housings, side view mirrors and other notorious C5 nooks and crannies.
Step 3: Clay Bar
Adam's Polishes Clay Bar
Adam's Polishes Detail Spray
---MY FAVORITE PART, makes a world of difference.
Step 4: VRT and In and Out Spray
I like to do plastic trim and tires before I do glass and body panels. This allows me to spray down the windshield cowl screen and tires without worrying about having to repeat steps like glass cleaning multiple times.
Step 5: Polish
Took care of the body with the Porter Cable 7424 @ 3000 opm's using the WHITE pad and Porter Cable adapter. 3000 opm's is a safe speed that works great.
Used Fine Machine Polish with a small mix of Swirl and Haze Remover (cotton towels used on a previous dry left their "mark.")
Wiped down after the polish session with microfiber towels and a very small amount of Detail Spray to make life easier.
Step 5: Wax
Porter Cable 7424 again @ 3000 opm's using the BLACK pad this time.
Used Adam's Polishes Machine SuperWax.
Let it cure for 20 minutes then removed with a microfiber towel and again a very small amount of Detail Spray to make life easier.
Step 6: Interior
Carpet looked great so didn't need to do much except vacuum it. Used Adam's Polishes Leather and Interior Cleaner to remove smudges on the tan portions of the interior with an Adam's Polishes Microfiber Applicator Pad.
-------ALWAYS spray onto the pad not the interior.
Wiped clean with a microfiber towel.
Took some Adam's Polishes Leather Conditioner with a microfiber applicator pad and wiped down the entire interior including the seats.
------That's why glass is so late in the game, you will probably get Leather Conditioner on the windshield.
Step 7: Glass
Adam's Polishes Glass Cleaner inside and out using a microfiber towel.
Followed with Detail Spray for a bit of shine.
Step 8: Brilliant Spray Glaze
Adam's Polishes Brilliant Spray Glaze with a microfiber applicator pad. Wiped down all glass and all paint.
Let dry for 10 minutes then wipe off with a microfiber towel.
Step 9: Wheel Polish
Adam's Polishes Metal Polish 1 with a microfiber applicator pad wiped down with a microfiber towel followed with Adam's Polishes Metal Polish 2 on a microfiber applicator pad and again wiped down with a microfiber towel.
