C5 dorman ls6 intake compare

Seems to me they should have used the same sized throttle body that was used with the FAST manifold. It would have made for a better comparison involving the FAST, I believe.

But it does seem that if you already have a LS6 the Dorman would be a step down in performance.

What's the largest throttle body you can put on the stock LS1 intake?

Hmm, well, from the dyno results shown in that article you linked, if everything else is equal for the tests, then it appears that the best results will be had with an intake that will accept a larger throttle body.

Just sayin'.......

Of course. But the article was mainly there to show off the dorman version of the ls6 intake. For fun they showed the fast intake.

I guess I did not understand the point of that article. While reading it, the phrase "damning with faint praise" kept coming to mind. When someone is looking for a performance boost for their Corvette, picking the cheapest one that offers the least performance of the available options is rarely going to be the guiding criteria to make a purchase.

IMHO, of course. :)

I agree. The dorman intake just came to market and i hadn't seen any results on how it performed.
