My son and his wife have a trip at the same time.Like yourself it laps over two days into FF.There going to make sure it's wild enough for an old man like me.:dancer01:

Total nudity is not allowed but body paint is not considered nude.
My wife has gone topless before as well as painted and never had a issue with police.
Hell one state cop tried to pick her up.
FF is a blast and i always tell every one they should go at least once.
It is really no place for kids though.

Road trip it is !Although i'm going to find a room near Duval st .I do not drink and drive.I'll gather all I can for info before Dec.

Now ,the sight of 50,000 naked women might cause this old mans heart to stop.DO NOT resuscitate.I don't want some guy's mealy lips on mine. I'd just die with fantasy photos on my brain.

I can't imagine another group of friends I'd rather do FF with than a bunch of fun loving Vette people.

Yes I will check it out and yes i'm serious.My son and his wife have a list of requirements to investigate.example :walking distance to Duval ,semi quite at night , corvette parking ,rates at three diff locations.

Now I've been to key west a lot but things are so much off the wall a lot changes during FF

No matter what I will be going in 08 ---see ya there

The difficult part will likely be the parking. The Casa Marina Resort (IIRC?) has covered parking with security. I'm not sure about anything else? A lot of roadside parking there.....

I've stayed with my wife at Best Western Habiscuss.Very good parking ,1 block off Duval ,very clean and quite.Rooms we're large.The problem (biggest) will be minimum stays and price.Rooms are booked up 6-9 mons in advance so there's no discounts or block of rooms avail. i'm sure.I did check the last time I was down and asked about FF rates and they we're $400 per night and 3 or 4 night min.That maybe a turn off to some people.
Over the next few months i'll make some calls.
In my case i'll probable be down there for 5 or 6 nights but only 2-3 nights during FF. In other words catch the front end or tail end.

Keep in mind one of our own will be in the neighborhood close to FF , sglfadad will be there on the 19th of Oct.
 
Reading all these threads remind me of my Mardi Gras days in New Orleans while in school. Keep us posted about 08. That would be one awesome road trip especially if Gordon goes. Only the Shadow knows!

So who's organizing this trip for next year? It should be a blast and a half especially with a long line of beautiful vettes crossing the bridges of the Keys.

I'll report back with some findings by Nov 1st.Just need a little time to find "the right place" to stay and throw out some options.Close to Duval but not on it,parking for 50 vetts,clean,Cheap and free beer. :dancer01:
 
The Hyatt has a nice place at the head of Duvall St.. The problem is going to be getting reservations. Key West is booked years in advance for FF. I'd love to go next year with this group:dancer01: ........Tom

We'll have 11 months to get it together.We could call it Corvette Fantasy 1 ,or something

I'd love to go back one more time, and like has been said, what a group to party with! I can't wait to caravan down in "Love", but I'll tell you up front...I can't afford no $400 a night room for a 4 day min.
If I can't come up with a chaper room in a nearby city, I'll stay at the camp ground 25 miles back up the road ($35.00 a night) and travel in for each night like we did a couple of years ago. Keep us informed. Glenn:dancer01:
 
Best time of my life! We usually get down there around labor day but had a switch up with the time share and we ended up going in Oct. Indeed an open mind is definately required, but after a few drinks, nothings a problem.

As far as staying somewhere, Marathon isnt too far away if nothing works out with stay on the key. I'd definately be down for a trip!
 
I've been a little lax coming up with "THE" plan.Looks like the tail end of FF is prefered and I have the names of a couple plces that might be suitable for vetts.

I have to go ! It's on my short list of "before I die"
