Fort Myers Fundraiser on June 16th

Tag's Gym on 14561 Palm Beach Blvd in Fort Myers has a fundraiser scheduled for June 16th from 9AM to ??. The fundraiser is to benefit Dan Hicks & Charlie Biggerstaff (local rock climbers) who recently were hurt in a rock climbing accident. The event will take place in the gym's parking lot and will feature BBQ, Monster Trucks, Drag Cars, Stock Cars, Rummage Sale, Poker Run (motorcycle), live DJ & 50/50 raffle.

Spoke to organizer and according to her, if enough corvettes show up for display, they will block off section of parking lot just for us.

If there is interest, all I need is a vehicle count so we can secure our spot in the parking lot.

What is the impending weather? Seems like a typical summer day to me. Boring here in South Floida in the summers.

Since it was an outside event, several display vehicles pulled out as well as scheduled bike poker run. Based on the poor response from our local corvette groups, there was doubt anyone would show up if there cars were going to get wet. Another date is the works. Maybe the response will be a little better the next time around.
