Some of us here know Dan (Fuzzy Dice) from the other place and some from here. He's a member at both.

He recently underwent open heart surgery and has no insurance to cover it:(

As I understand it, the tab was around 175k.

Heck Gordon, sorry to hear about this, but many people just don't want to go out of their way to read about bad news. I think it's kind of a pain avoidance thing, even of the psychological variety. Particularly when many of us are of the age where this is something we can see our own names in the headlines instead of Dan's.........
 
I understand that Rich, but from the heading you wouldn't know;).
Obviously people are viewing it.

Like it or not, it's a fact of life and I'd hope at least someone would come to our aid if it were any one of us on this forum in the same boat.

Thanks for the link. Helping out other Vette people is what these forums are all about. Sorry to hear about Dice's health problems. Giving a little in a situation like this can go a long ways sometime. Just think, if every member of the CF gave $1.50, it would pay his hospital bill. That's not going to happen, but every little bit helps.........Tom

i read about dan on the other site right when it happened. i went to the get together that he put together right before this happened to him. i have not had the chance to meet him but from the support i have seen for him and the respect he gets from people that do know him he seems like a really good guy. i will be making a donation to his fund. is there anything esle he might need that we could do for him like something to make his recovery more comfortable or does he need help with anything at home?

I don't know? Got a pm from him that he was home recuperating. Sent him a pm back that let him know there were a lot of people ready to help:thumbsup:

Thanks for the donation:thumbsup: He has no insurance so he's really gonna need the help in $$ fashion I think. Might be the best way we can help his recuperation is to relieve some of the financial stress of the hospital bill.

Stress as we all know...can be a killer:(
