C6 Gauging interest in brakes/wheels

Within the next couple of weeks(waiting on shipment) Im doing the Z06 brak upgrade and Ill have my upgraded brake kit for sale. EBC slotted and cross drilled rotors(stock C6 size) along with EBC pads. They prolly have at most 5k miles on them and the only hard braking theyve seen is to hold one burnout at my only track run last year. The calipers are powder coated red and the corvette lettering and brackets are powder coated black.

Heres the thread from RevXtreme doing mine.

You can see I paid 500 for the color change, and 450 for the rotors and pads. Ill make it a steal at 550 for all the setup. If you live close Ill even deliver them to you.

Secondly Im also going to be putting my wheels up for sale. Current wheels wont allow Z06 brake clearance. Two problems with them, one is 6mths ago I hit a pothole and just last week the front wheel decided to form a small crack. The wheel is being sent off to someone local whose been repairing wheels for 14yrs an no returns. Two of the wheels also have minor curb rash can easily be fixed. Ill have pics of them tonight hopefully. They are C6 offsets fronts are 18x8.5 and rears are 19x11s. They are 06-08 Z06 style powder coated black with a machine face. Here they are on the car from a previous cruise.

Paid 1k for the wheels, start the price at 600 for the set an see where that goes.

Thanks for looking.

Man that is tempting. If you can't get rid of the set, I might be interested in buying just the front setup to upgrade my C4!

Just ordered the wheels and brakes today, and the brakes are on 2wk backorder.

Im gonna try to keep the brakes together mainly because itll be hard just to sell the rear setup alone.

Nice, what wheels did you go with? Those brakes are going to just look killer, not to mention the serious increase in braking power.

Well, if you still have no takers after getting your ZO6 calipers installed, give me a holler and maybe we can work something out.

Was going to go with the Ace R1 concepts(new Zr1 that have same paint scheme as current wheels)...but im not waiting for the end of feb for new wheels. So I picked up the Ace Slicks, just hope the powder coater can manage to take them from hyperblack to black with machine/polish face like my wheels now.

Ill keep you in mind if I find no buyers.

Well found out the front wheel cant be repaired, so ill throw the three up for 450, the front ones can be found for under 200.

Well brakes are sold woohoo. Ill have my three rims off the car within the week. Let the three go for 450, just need a front left rim and perfect set for under 700 bucks.

Ahh I just went your route, I have ZR1 wheels and C6 Z Brakes here now.

It was unknown that they were ordered for me:lmao: But someone thought I should have them. To bad I cant use the rear brakes on my car.. but we did help come up with the conversion for the front, Maybe one day he will have time to design the rest.

What size are the rear wheels? IF theyre ace alloys 19x11s should clear with a 63 offset on C5 and 73 offset on C6.

Im just hoping westcoastcorvette can get me my brakes before feb 8th for a benefits show im going to. two week backorder was supposed to be sent today, and last night he tells me still on backorder. Id order from someone else but no one touchs his price with motul oil and ss brake lines.

Bringing back from the dead. The guy lined up to buy the brakes cant do it, cause the labor to custom fit a Cobalt SS is quite a bit.

The brakes are sitting in the boxs my Z brakes came in, in the back of my car at RevXtreme atm.
