• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Going back to a C6

If I could have gotten the header off of the driver's side of my C5Z I likely would have replaced my LGM Pro headers when I was replacing the starter and motor mounts. But it looks like I would need to disconnect some fuel and oil line plumbing in order to get that header out of there. The passenger side came out OK, but it definitely was a tight squeeze and looks like it would ONLY come out one way and one way only.

Kooks has been around for a long time, so I'm sure they are a quality set of pipes.

Are you getting them ceramic coated? If not, you might want to put some kind of heat shield around the starter, and perhaps even the motor mounts. If the Kooks fit like my LGM Pro headers, getting to the starter if you need to replace it will mean at least loosening up the header on the passenger side to get to it. So some heat protection to prolong the life of the starter might be a good idea.

Greg is in his new shop and getting the lift installed this week. Looks like i am going this weekend to get the headers done.

I see a Brandon Auto Services building there on the south side of the road. Is he on the south side of the road or the north side where a Nicky's Car Wash shows on Google Earth?

I have no clue where it is. I can't find anything on line. He said it was off Hwy 60 a little. Can you link me what you are seeing? I have never been to the new shop yet. Just hope i can find it Sat morning. I know moving into anew shop is a total mess and takes time to get things running smooth.

I sent him a e mail asking him how i can find the place.

Actually, if you don't have Google Earth all you have to do is to cut and paste the address into Google and it will give you a map that you can then go to a satellite view. From there you can get a street view. But the images I am seeing are from back in January, so they aren't real time.

I saw the street image. I have not heard back from Greg and i am sure he has not had time to get the sign up or his number from the old shop moved to the new shop.

The lift was installed but no power has been hooked up yet so now it is next weekend to bring the C6 in. He said Brandon auto salvage was across the street and he is on Star wood road. I think it is Sharwood road not star.

Does it sound better too? :hehehe:

Not really. I still have the stock catback. Sounds meaner when i get on it, but no burble and pop like i had on my old C6 with the Billy boat Route 66's.

Greg has a NPP setup and will install them and a switch. So i plan to have him do that next month. The new shop is off of Skywood. New shop has much more space.
