Heavy rain

Really got a good soaking this weekend! Had .75" Sat night and so far today over 3.5" or rain. We had alot of lift in the upper levels, this is something you don't see much in Apirl.

We had some heavy rains last night, but sunny when I left this morning for the Quaker Steak & Lube. Rained some at the end of the show, but still sunny when I got home to Bradenton.

It's been crappy here all weekend. Guess the plants need it, though.

Mosquitoes are about to choke those mosquito magnets I have running. They are REALLY bad this year.

I agree! The mosquitos are as bad as I've ever seen them, and the sand gnats are too! My boys play soccer at the high school and the rec park and I really think they're tag teaming out there! At least you can see the mosquitos.

Rain at Quaker State Show

We lucked out most of the Day at the Quaker State show in Pinellas Park.
We had a few sprinkles during the day, but never any real rain.
At 3:00 pm we headed back to Tampa and got slammed on the bridge with some heavy stuff. Had to come home and empty the pool which was over the top. Wife said Tampa got alot all day and its was pouring when I got home at 5:00pm til about 10:00pm. We really needed the rain....so no complaints here!!
Saw some good friends at the show "KAP142", "C5RICK", "PRES712", "SHADOW" and others. We had I would guess 75 Corvettes. BACC Club did a nice job.....Thanks Gang!!
:hehehe: JIM :hehehe:

I got a total of 4.25" Sunday, plus .75" Sat. Thats more than the normal rainfall for Apirl and May for my area.

Yeah, I just ordered two more Mosquito Magnets last night. They are getting into the animal buildings they are so thick. The two I have just aren't keeping up with them all.

BTW, those things work well for sand gnats as well.

It was a great show Jim. I was glad to see my friends. Drove home (every foot of the way) in the rain but just enjoyed the ole C3's handling. I do just love to watch the rain blowing off a well waxed fiberglas body. We need the rain so much I can live with it.

I followed Joe & Deb home after the show and once we hit 275 the rain was gone. Sun was shining when I hit Bradenton as it was when I left, but we got rain last night.
