So Im at work and loading a tv into the back of my moms blazer when some random guys comes walking up saying I got something for your car. I laugh cause almost every person who walks in either loves the car, or wants to race it. I ask him what hes got and he said and older cutlass, but wouldnt tell me anything else. I asked him what ci motor hes running and he says a 350. My coworkers starting laughing. I told him some of the stuff I had done and it doesnt shake him, then i tell him my one boss with a 70 cutlass thats pretty much gutted is running a built 455 and he wont run me.

Now it gets funny, one coworker acts like my manager and says put a 1k on it, he then jumps to 9k dollar bet. Manager says throw a pink up, he wont throw a pink. I take him out to the car and he has a big #$% eating grin, until i pop the hood, now he has a *wtf did i just get myself into grin*.

Now he starts with "his terms". He wants to race at night, and only up to 1/4m even after i told him this is a roll car buddy. After the run he wants to shut his car down to cool off. All this other wonderful load of excuses. But he didnt forget to mention his car lifts its tires of the ground a few times.

He doesnt know what power hes running, nor has he ever ran it at a track. I told him if he wants to race his terms against my car, then i want a race in my terms of something from a roll. He said no way in hell cause it wouldnt last for him. So if someone wants to make 9k bucks from a dig race, lemme know hes supposed to be calling me soon.

Times like this i wish rpm would have made a beefy A6 tranny so i can up the power and not worry about the tranny going kaboom.

Why run the risk of trashing your car after all the work you put into it? Not worth it but it would be fun though to go to the drag strip like 98Softtop suggested.

HA, soon as techs at BMP see/hear my car rolling up their gonna ask for a atleast a 4pt cage and helmet, and i only have a helmet. How i know without running their track is cause i met one of the lenient techs, and he said most of them are hardcore safety freaks.

Im not gonna race him, what his car was built for an what mine was built for are two different things. Apples and Oranges. If he wants 9k for his terms Ill tell him i want 10k for my terms.

First rule of drag racing I learned was that there is ALWAYS someone faster. Sounds like this guy hasn't learned it yet. My buds talked me into running a guys GN one night. "C'mon Mark, it's only a six cylinder". HAH! He put 2 cars on me out of the hole and it was all over from there.:nonod:

Fixed it for you :)

I was at RevXtreme the day Norris was tuning and have heard/seen LS2POWA's car. Don't get me wrong it is a fast car:thumbsup:, but there are plenty on the street or at BMP just as strong or stronger. Heck my puny little "cam only" car puts out 435 RWHP.

My previous vette was an C5 Z06. I thought I was hot stuff and made a few trips to the T&T sessions at Houston raceway park. Lined up against a camaro one night, missed a shift and got spanked . Happens to everyone sooner or later.

I did some asking around....Old purple cutlass 4 door that runs 9's in the 1/4 seeks out nice looking cars & does these challenges......wonder if it's him? I gotta talk to Corey tommorrow!

Well this kid/guy w/e evidentally knows one of my co-workers. I aint gonna race him for the sheer fact he wont do anything on terms of what my car was built for.

Ill find out tomorrow as well, im gonna call the coworker an ask him about it since hes going around hyping up my car now.
