Tallahassee got hit pretty hard and this morning got a nasty thunderstorm that had me awake from 5:30am.
Our yard is a river, our neighborhood is a lake and there are so many closed and flooded roads there are detours everywhere. We have like 5 big lake in our neighborhood , all flooded.
Chris sat here for 30mins trying to figure out a way to the shop today.

Our screened in back porch flooded so bad we were about an inch away from water flooding our house so we (Chris) had to run to Wal Mart in the middle of a tornado warning to get a pump to pump it out to prevent it !!!

And our electricity went out only once thank goodness for about 3 hours.

Some of Tallahassee residents were evacuated due to flooding in their home.
And there are still about 250 residents without power.

So how'd everyone else do????

Rained quite a bit yesterday and this morning over here. Saturday was not bad and Sunday morning wasn't bad. We got up and went to Dothan in the morning and only got very light rain on the way there and back. Part of our yard is under 4-6" of water and the backyard where we put the dogs out is water logged. Hopefully it will get on out of here today.

We were in Daytona Beach all weekend for a reptile show, so we kind of had Fay for company the entire time. Got there on Thursday, but since it was kind of the "eye" of the storm, there was only a light rain to contend with. Friday it rained pretty hard all day, but Saturday and Sunday cleared up nicely.

When we got back home to Crawfordville, we were expecting our road to be flooded out, but that wasn't the case at all. Nothing more than what we typically see in a heavy thunderstorm. But we did find that a dead pine tree had fallen across the carport above the vettes. Luckily another tree broke the fall and it is just barely resting on the edge of the roof. Guess I need to pull that down and cut it up pretty shortly. Been meaning to buy a new chainsaw anyway..... Hope everyone else came out OK from Fay.

Ouch! Yeah, I heard the big crashing sound of a tree falling Saturday night and I just knew it was this big old pine that seems to drop something everytime the wind blows. Luckily for my vehicles it was apparently a tree on the other side of my neighbor's house and the only casualty was a welded wire fence.

Still Raining

Cant believe the east coast, Brevard County, has over 30" and got 5 more last night. :ack2:

We did alright. One of our trees provided a bit of humor for my family though.
