I AM TOTALLY SICK OF THE FRIGGIN' RAIN.....

I can NEVER remember a summer this friggin' wet. Every damned day it rains like hell. Now it's anytime from eleven in the morning on.

You don't dare get over fifteen minutes from home without risking a bath.

Twice yesterday morning I tried to take the car out and twice I didn't get two miles from home and came scampering back.

This is REALLY getting on my nerves....

Anybody know of a house for rent in the friggin' desert with paved roads nearby????? :mad: :mad:

And if one more person tells me "but we need the rain" I just might hit them.
 
Well, it could be worse..... We could be having a chain of hurricanes pounding the crap out of us. So you could be having the rain AND 120 mph winds pushing it along..

Rain hasn't been too bad up here near Tallahassee. Got a bunch of rain last night around 3am, but today has been pretty clear. Don't know what the weekend was like here because I was in Daytona. But it was clear over there pretty much all weekend.
 
You're right of course about the major storms, but we've been getting shelled by rain over here. Our July totals were DOUBLE the norm, we're probably going to break the record for August and it just keeps coming.

We're getting caught square in the middle by storms coming in off the Gulf and those wandering over and building throughout the day from the East Coast.

Even the TV weather folks are shaking their heads and they are saying there is no end in sight.

I'm thinking of starting an Ark factory....:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
 
Easy big guy ,we are lucky compare to our brothers up north that has to park their rides for the winter months.In the Winter we are the lucky ones, :vette: cruzin with the top off and the windows down.It won't be long this chit will end. I know it SUCKS i have air scoops and screens that just lets everything in to the engine compartment.I have left my home and came back and the roads were underwater. I would have die if i was drivin the vette.Thanks god for pickup trucks:thumbsup:
 
I share your pain. There's nothing like spending most of the day washing and polishing your 'vette only to have it pour rain the first time you go out. :mad: We've been waaay behind our rainfall totals for the year so rain has been welcome lately. Too much is too much though.
 
Good Old Days

When I moved here to Florida in 85, it used to rain between 3 and 3:30. You could almost set your watch by it. Things have certainly changed but I remember when it would rain 24r days straight in the summer all day, not just for a few hours. I'll take Florida anyday!:dancer01:
 
it used to be alot worse when i moved here in 2001. The first day we had our house it got struck by lightning. :ack2:

But i LOVE florida
 
I spent 18 years in Maine, know ALL about winter layups..

I just get "PCS" when I can't drive my car for a week at a time...:mad: :ack2: :D
 
Pretty much a shower/thunder/lightning everyday around 7-10pm here on the Nature Coast. Daytime, hot as heck and plenty of sun. I here this is normal Florida summer time but I've been here since 2000 and don't remember it seeing these sever storms everyday. But as has already been said, better than a line of hurricanes lined up in the Atlantic heading west.

You've had more rain up there than we have here lately. It's still pretty much an afternoon/evening thing down here.
 
I thought it was because I came down. I took the car to the car wash Sunday after the drive down from Indy and I didn't even make it home before I got nailed. We were driving between FtM and Naples Saturday when that bit one came through. There was quite a bit of wind attached to that one.
 
Mine sits in a parking lot every day. We haven't had enough rain in Jax for the lawns, but enough to make me wash the car at least twice a week:shrug01:

But, as said above, I'll take constant washing over having to put the car up for 4 or so months a year any day!:D :D
 
Wouldn't change it for the world! Got friends in the North East...talk about pounding rain and no drainage system for it.
 
I have to admit, grudgingly, we got lucky with Ernesto. Heck, our roads never even got wet.

Although my Best Buy Service Tech cancelled due to "the Hurricane"..:banghead:

So we got basically no rain whatsoever from Ernesto so I'll stop complaining, for at least ten minutes.....:rolleyes: :D

Man, I'm with you there. I haven't even tried to wash my cars in over 3 weeks. It's just not worth it. A few hours of sunshine a day and then rain. :thumbsdown:
 
Well we are pretty much in drought conditions here in Crawfordville. No rain for the past two days! :lmao:
 
The nice part is ….I haven’t had to fill the pool or turn the sprinklers on for a long time.
I love to watch a good storm roll by but d-ham, all this rain makes for some louse cruising.

At least it's not hailing. :drink4:

I was in Ohio in July visiting family and it started hailing! I asked at what point does it start denting my truck? They told me golf ball size :eek:
1/2 inch rain Saturday and 2 inches today here in Naples :banghead:
