A fellow is coming tomorrow morning from out of state to consider buying my '03. This will bring me one step closer to getting my C7. Please join me in keeping a good thought.

So how did ya make out ?

A friend sent me some photos of his new C7 mid night race blue with light interior and I had an orgasm

Thanks for asking. The guy was ready to buy, or so I thought. When it came time to sign over the car, he whips out an out-of-state personal check. He then gets a little indignant when I refused to accept it, and furthers with something like he has a few more Vettes to check out 'anyway'. People, they're a hoot sometimes.

That blue is a really nice color. I wish him well with it.

Hah! I would have told him to take a hike too. You likely would have lost your car and had a small piece of toilet paper to show for it.

You're right, and I probably couldn't even have wiped my you-know-what with it. :ack2: I am not THAT wanting to sell the car. I CAN see though, how some are duped -especially our seniors, more because of reasons of necessity.

You did the right thing !

I would never travel anywhere to look at a car if I wasn't serious about buying it. You'd think he would have checked it out ahead of time and known what it was. Then, if it met his expectations he should hand you cash or a certified bank check for the purchase price.

If it didn't meet his expectations he could always take the certified check back to his bank and cash it himself.

VERY WISE WORDS OF WISDOM!!!!
