In-Formal Car Show Bradenton ?

How about I-75 and SR 70 intersection or I-75 and Fruitville intersection? There's bound to be a parking lot in these vicinities that might welcome us. Or how about along the waterfront near the Twin Dolphin marina in Bradenton? I think the waterfront could be cool because there's parking and local pubs and restaurants nearby. The Lost Kangaroo pub is a very popular water hole with great beer selection for those interested. Also Fisherman Joe's serves some good Grouper and other seafood as well. Mattison's restaurant is part of the marina there. Just a thought for the selection committee!!!

Waterfront is always a good thing:thumbsup:

It seems that everyone has some good ideas about this.

I was thinking that since there are so many places, why don't we do something like this...

Members in each area,

Tampa/ St.Pete

Sarasota/Bradenton

Venice/Pt.Charlotte

Ft. Meyers/South...

Select 2 or 3 places to meet at. Maybe a place near the interstate, or a place by the water, or a place away from it all. We could put together a list of "Favorite Places".

We could then choose a place in each local area and that would be the place to meet, greet, hang out or head out.

That way, maybe once a month or so... we could get together with friends new and old.

As for a place out by the Interstate, in the Sara/Brad area, there is a place near the I-75-Fruitville Rd-Cattleman Rd. junction.... "RJ Gators". It is a casual restaurant with good food and live music. A local place on the scale of Outback or Applebys, but with better food and music..... Like any of a hundred other places around the area.

Let's start with no more than 3 places each, this could get out of hand.

Here is another idea....

Why not take a few pics of your "hotspot" and give it a write-up. All the members that are planning on making the cruise would vote and the the winning "Hotspot" for the month would be the cruise destination.

Maybe we could pay the winners tab at their "Host" location.

Just a thought.

I got together with Tim & Joe today at the Hob Nob in Sarasota and we are getting close. Hope to have some news by the 1st.
We are looking at a spot in Bradenton

Well i finally have my car now woot, just waitin on some fuel rails to get my fast 90 put on. Def be eyeballing this thread, been a long while since ive been to any car meet.

Sounds good. I have been to meets like this where everyone talks about their cars and the things they have done. They are always very informative and often generate lively discussions on a whole variety of topics.
I look forward to getting something like this going.

My old house is just down Cattlemen from the Ale House, it used to be a decent place but the parking there stinks. Not much else in the 75-Cattlemen area. Let me know when you decide on a place for FEB, I'll bring the GS out for a drive.
