iPod 2009 Convertible?

Be gentle nuking me on this question as I suspect it's buried somewhere, but never having the patience to wade thru a thread figured it's easier to ask and take my licks.

Have a 2009 convertible with NAV system! Ok, I bought it off the lot so it came that way. Read, re-read, looked, no support for an iPod????? And, NO AUX input that I can find. Heck, I even read the manual?

Now, I do have satellite radio but every now and then I have an urge to use my iPod, and, since I have the same tunes loaded on my iPhone3GS, would like to input to the audio system? Huh, other than some techno-audio engineer stuff, what's the solution, if any?

Thanks, be gentle, I'm OLD!:D

easyest salution would be to take it to any reputable audio shop and have then instal an adapter for aux input. most new cars already have it not sure why a 2009 vette dont. since your in jax try daddy o's they were the cheapest in the area when i was there.

I figured that was my last resort, just seemed quite odd in today's era of iPod/Touch/iPhone/iPad:D:D that GM would leave an aux input out in their more expensive option? Thanks for recommendation.

:lmao:LOL-Even my Scion has an aux port for an Ipod:lmao:

Take it somewhere and have it installed. Called the dealer yet? They might do it to keep it under warranty:thumbsup:

My daily car is my wife's old 2002 MB ML500, which is still in great shape at 65000 miles and since MB wouldn't give squat for a trade I just kept it (I only take Vette out on perfect days :D). Anyhow, no such iPod/aux/mp3 player inputs on old cars so have one of the Belkin/FM 'modulators' that 'broadcasts' on a free FM spot. Does pretty good, low-tech, but a jumble of wires that are annoying.

Hard to believe a warranty could (I do believe tho') be violated with an AUX input installed. :ack2:

Sorry, didn't mean to say that it would.

What I meant was, the warranty covering the radio and other electrical components (and I understand they are all somehow intertwined throught he computer?), "could" be voided if they saw an aftermarket install.

I'd check with the dealership or warranty company (they're all underwritten by someone) and make sure.
