Is the "Wave" dead in S. Fl.?

I took my vert for a drive this morning, and I must have come across 6 or 7 vettes, C4s, C5s, and C6s, I either waved or flashed my lights at every one of them, but got No response, not one. So what's up South Florida?:shrug01:

Somedays I get a wave from every Vette I see, others not a one.

Did ya wave in Spanish or English? (that wasn't nice)

I was up in Bowling Green for my birthday bash and everybody waved.
 
I am in constant wave mode...wave to Mustangs, Porsches, Vipers, Jaguars and other vettes of course....Sometime I get a response...other times nothing....
 
I agree 98 softtail the only way Ill wave at a viper or a mustang is they cut four fingers off my hand and only leave me with the middle finger:lmao::lmao:

Yeah it's hit and miss. And with the traffic here in Tampa Bay, I'mlucky to be able to wave at all. I totally missed a fellow C4'er the other day. just caught him out the corner of my eye, I triedto wave but it was to late...now some just don't know better. I pass another C4 just about every day to work...for almost three months now, he's yet to wave back, but I still wave. Now about once a week I see a sweet C5 vert...we always wave, but we are going in the same direction. (man this is really hard to type witha broken space bar...)

I work with a guy that had a laptop where the "U" key wouldn't work. He started using the "*" key in place of the "U", and his emails were f*nny :D ! Yo* had to try to fig*re o*u what he was trying to say. The company we work for finally replaced all of our computers, so he's back to normal now.

i get the least amount of waves from the c6'er. no offense to any of you. just what ive noticed. very rarely do i not get the wave, and i give it across 4 lanes of traffic

I also live in so. Fl. I would have to say it depends on who is behind the wheel. it might be a mertosexual kinda dude. you know the type , he is pretty boy. you can forget a wave back. or or old man scrooge. no wave back. Regular looking people almost always wave back. So I would say its 50/50. :yesnod:

I don't wave at C6s at all. Sorry but if you won't say it I will. C6 owners are mostly as$holes!!!!! I got sick and tired of waving at them and not only do they not wave at you, they look at you like you are some f@(king fruitcake or something. Besides, C6 owners are supposed to wave first since they are the newest ones on the road. I wave at every 'vette except C6s. If a C6 waves then I wave right back. If I see a C5 and older I always wave no matter what.

As more C6s hit the road, the less waves you will see. You are seeing that cause and effect right now. Women drivers, never wave back......except my sister. I trained her well.:thumbsup: Except for getting her to post anything......I'm still working on that.

Here in north Florida it's pretty rare to NOT get a wave from a fellow Corvetter. But then again, there really aren't that many vettes on the roads around here, so I guess seeing another one is an event for BOTH parties...
 
I have had my C4 LT4 for about eight months now. I have noticed the C6 owners never wave, the C5 folks about half the time and the C4 and C3 drivers always wave. I have my top down all the time so I wave at all the vetts. Still waiting for that first wave from a C6:shrug01:
 
I always wave while in either Vette. But I seem to get more return waves from newer Vettes when I'm driving my 2008 Atomic Orange conv. Not so many in my 73 coupe.
