I love pet threads.

Sebastian was twelve years old, thats a long time for a Shar-Pei, you must be a great dad.

Unfortunately Nytro was just about to turn ten when he got intestinal cancer. After six weeks of Chemo and major improvements in his health, he started to go down hill and I knew that I had to put him down. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my 55 years. He was such a good dog. I have his ashes and when I croak we will be buried together. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him.

We got Jake from a breeder in Arizona. He flew from Phoenix to Boston when he was only 7 weeks old. Heres a pic of him when he was 6 weeks.

That's a great pic, sure hope he grows in to all that skin.;)

Adam, they're beautiful animals. I've never seen or heard of a bedlington terrier. Thanks for the pictures. How big do they get? Is that full grown?
The cat is also very nice. I like cats but can't have them since I'm allergic and my dobermans don't like cats :nonod:

Bedlingtons get a little bigger than in the picture. I took that after he got his cast removed after his leg broke. They weigh around 25 lbs full grown and stand roughly 22" tall from floor to head. When cut they look like lambs, but i like my dog when he is shaggy.

here he is swimming (he doesnt like swimming):

I've owned a Golden Retriever before. They are always looking for a critter to chase. In the hunting / sporting bloodline. Always good natured dogs.

Thanks,

That cat cost me some LG Headers, however, I think he’s worth it.
Missing out on one mod was worth a box full of cat litter poop. :hehehe:

I'm thinking about getting him a dog to play with but I don't know what kind yet. I'll have to look at all the dogs on this post again for some good ideas.

Get one about the same size as the cat, and introduce them when the puppy is still very small so that the dog learns to like the cat early in life.

My Dog...

I'll have to find the pic(s) of my dog, gone but not forgotten. Garth was a brindle boxer, heaviest was about 90 lbs. Before the yard was fenced in he had the run of some corn fields and other open areas. WOW, I've never seen a dog look so muscular. His record was bringing home 14 groundhogs one year...who knows how many didn't make it to the back door....???

Garth was all but 14 years old and just couldn't get around any more. He was having seizures and the vet had him on some medication. There's only so much you can do to prolong the inevitable. What a good dog, I can't wait to post a pic.

Alshirey, Garth sounds like he was a great dog. Looking forward to your pictures!
Groundhogs, huh? He must have thought he was a hunting dog!
