I generallly would not cross link to another forum but in this case i think it's appropriate. Many of us started "there" and some of us still visit the other forum either regularly or on occasion.

This past week, tragedy struck the Corvetteforum family. Michael Holt, aka: Well Adjusted, a respected and loved forum member was found dead in the Arizona desert.
He had gone to Las Vegas to play in a tournament and was last seen on the 1st. It seems all of his belonings were left behind, in his hotel room, including his cell phone. His vehicle was found abandoned approx. 90 miles from Vegas.
His body was recovered later:( According to the information provided, he was a victim of the elements. I'm sure there's more here but the investigation is contiuning.

This event has saddened the Corvetteforum family and a memorial fund to purchase a bench in his honor has been set up. The proceeds will go to the NCM for the bench with anything collected over the funds needed, donated in his honor to the St. Judes Chilrens Hospital, of which he was also a big supporter.:thumbsup:

For those who may be interested, they have reached thier goal of $5000.00 for a bench in his honor at the NCM:thumbsup:

Any additional funds will now be donated to the St. Judes childrens hopsital in his honor.

I was thinking and thought I'd bounce it off you guys and gals?

What do we think of possibly putting together our own donation, and making it one BIG donation from this forum to the Corvetteforum in Mikes name, earmarked specifically to st. judes?

It might also foster some additional good will between the sites:thumbsup:

I have no idea who the poor soul was. I do think highly of St. Judes Childrens hospital and would provide a 10.00 donation.
 
I only posted it here because some people still visit there, some regularly others not and some not at all but started there. Michael was well known on the OT board and pretty well liked.

I just thought (maybe I just need to stop that!) that it'd be a good gesture between the sites.

I don't think it's garnered much interest here. No biggie.

I think it was a great gesture. I personally stop over the other site maybe once a week. It's been that way since I found this site way back when and after I bought the Z16 and try to spend a little time there also. Just have never run into the guy, but a great gesture none the less!

I just now saw your post, Shadow. Iwondered if this info would make it to this forum.
I got an email from Ken Teague of the misfits from the other forum. He told me about Welladjusted and that they were having an inpromptu lunch yesterday. I had to pass cause I worked. Anyway, I never met Welladjusted but I have read many of his posts. I'd be happy to contribute something from this forum for another Florida member even though he was not a member here. He was from Bradenton if I'm not mistaken.
That's wonderful news that the money was raised for the bench in such a short time :yesnod:
 
Thanks. Just wondered if we really wanted to do this as a forum body or just do it independently? And yes, he was from Bradenton.
