MIDDLE AGED AND CORVETTE CRAZED

I sold my C6 in March and bought a Honda Civic LX. This car is great tranportation with a fun factor of zero. I have had so much fun driving, I have put 1,500 miles on it. Seriously thinking of selling it and getting an older vette, but not sure what I can get out of the Honda or what older model Vettes are selling for. Looking for something more body and mechanically sound than power. Something in the C4-C5 range. Any info is greatly appreciated. Price limit will be what I sell the Honda for, as I am not dipping into my bank accounts. When I sell the Honda I would rather purchase a car from a forum member.

One of the lots i drive by daily had a C4 for sale about the 8k range. Not sure what year C4 and what the cindition the interior was but the body from the road looked decent. I'm sure private party would be somewhat cheaper...

I'm buying a house right now, home inspection today matter of fact. Anyways, i pondered the idea of selling my C5 but not sure if i can do it. I mean what else am i going to get thats this much awesomeness to drive?!!?

So i may look into refinancing mine... i dunno...

good luck with your search.

Honda

I originally paid $18,700 for the car with the interior and exterior protection
along with LoJack installed. Kelly Blue Book valued at $17,425. I put it on CraigsList for $16,500. Not sure how much Corvette I can get for around that amount, But as soon as it sells, I am going Corvette hunting. Honda cars are nice, but after my C6, it sure is boring. At 58, I don't want to be an old fart in a Honda.

You can pick up c5s for low buck..

Norman you dont know how weird it is to see your car pull up once a week with out you and Toby..lol

You should be able to pick up a clean 95-96 C4 for around 9K-12K or a decent mileage 97-00 C5 for around 10K-14K, if you take your time looking. I love my C4, but if I was you, I'd be looking at 99-04 C5's.

I agree.

You should be able to pick up a clean late model C4 for under 12 easy. The C4 market has tanked.

An early model C4 for un 8 is more than reasonable.

The C5's (early models) are in the teen's now all day long:thumbsup:

Good luck on your purchase.

C4 for sale

There is a C4 ragtop, green/tan, in Hudson, on state rd 19.
It's at an old gas station, converted to a car lot.
I bought my 92 there last year.
Ask for Bill, the only salesmen there.
It looks good and it's been there a while. This guy does deal.
I wanted it but wifey, wont ride in a ragtop.
Sunshine Motors.

I have nothing to do with this dealership or anyone connected with them.
Just passing on info.
BTW, I paid more than expected for my vette, because SHE wanted this one and only this one.
