Mod Victims Beware

pictures

I sure would like to see some pictures of some of the Florida guys cars.
Especially LMB and Jetstream Blue.
Pictures are worth a thousand words as they say.
Especially any cool mods!!
I am also interested in any custom paint and where it was done.
I am having an LMB battery cover done in LMB that is way cooll
The guys name is ed check out his web sight nakidparts.com
He does some really original stuff. Quality is outstanding.

I am trying to get an active discussion regarding mods to C6 Corvettes
Maybe I am approaching this the wrong way.
I am looking for been there done that experience.
I think all C6 owners have valuable information to share.
I am trying to find a way to exchange information specific to the C6.
Please let me know if there is a better way to approqch this.

Well, I'm not really doing to much to our 2007 C6. I do have a set of Z06 sway bars I want to install that are sitting in the work room, however. But for the most part, I'm limiting mods to mostly cosmetic ones. Let's see, what have I done so far....
  • Tinted windows
  • Lloyds carpets from and back
  • Black lettering on the rear fascia for "Corvette"
  • Clear sill guards
  • Cargo cover

I think that is it.

We want some chrome wheels, but I'm leaning towards waiting until the car needs new rubber and then maybe going to wider treads all around and aftermarket chromes. I like the CCW 505a look. I'm tempted to consider them for the C5Z as well when those tires wear out.

Sorry I can't provide anything more or better for you.

I would like to see the Lloyds mats. I am considering them myself.
What color is your car/interior?

By the way I did a lot of homework on chrome wheels and wider rubber but when you want to stick with RFT's it gets very limited.

Pictures

Sure would like to see some picts of the Florida guys mods.
Havent figured out how to start a thread.
But I know there are some neat mods out there.

The Lloyds mats are REAL nice. Well worth getting. The car's interior is black.

I'll try to get pics one of these days.....

I did order a plate.
Last name is Olmstead most just call me Omer.
Went with OMERZ51.
And a plate that matches the cars color.
So much for the C-Bicuit thing.

I will as soon as I get it.
I am wondering why I cant get to see picts of other cars posted.
It is really easy to do if you use photobucket and doesn't cost a dime.
Am I missing something here?

Well now you're talking. Misery loves company.
But honestly it is a huge amount of fun restoring and/or modding these things.
By the way just my opinion I would stay away from the NO2 stuff it beats the Hell out of an engine.
What about high octane gas?

You should be able to see the pics posted here. How about in the photo gallery? Can you see those?

BTW, if you post pics in the photo gallery here, you can use this site as a photo hosting site as well.

What about high octane gas?

The problem with high octane is just getting it.
Used to be able to buy it at airports (105 aviation fuel) they wont sell it to you anymore.
Truth is if you you want extra ponies and convenience go with a good intake (I use K&N air charger) long tube headers, hi flo cats and a good cat back system Corsa B&B etc. depending on the sound you want. B&Bs are loud but on long drives it can get on your nerves. I prefer the Corsa Sports. No drone but if you get on it they bark. Then get a tune.
My LS2 is 437 at the rear and super reliable.
Otherwise go with a supercharger and you can get big time HP that is reliable.
I have seen too many guys pop motors with N02 to consider it as an option.
Just my $.02

Pretty sharp looking...... I'm considering some under the hood cosmetics myself...

nakidparts.com Guy named Ed has some outstanding work.
You can see the paint match on the battery cover. He has a lot of really qualitiy stuff for under the hood.

How about the rest of us,
I would like to see pictures and proposed mods even cosmetic. I know a lot of us are tweaking our vettes. I am always looking for ideas.
If we share lessons learned and new ideas.
I know there are lots of threads but it is confusing to follow all of them.
