Molybdenum disulfide oil additive

MoS2 additives do reduce friction in boundary lubrication conditions, but modern synthetics already have well-engineered additive packages (including ZDDP for anti-wear) that cover what you need. Actually adding a separate MoS2 treatment on top of a full-synthetic like Mobil 1 or Amsoil could probably disrupt that balance and cause more harm than good. Just my 2 cents

Perhaps. Personally, I don't believe the auto manufacturers are going to put much, if any, effort into developing lubricants that will allow the engine to live much past the warranty period. What would be their incentive? And as best I can recall, ZDDP was removed from most engine oils because of supposed damages being caused to the catalytic converters. So many people have had to take the step of buying it as an additive for their vehicles.

So I guess it all boils down to the question of "Who do you trust?" Which is more difficult to answer than you might hope.
