My New Toy

Ok I know it's not a Vette but it's something I have been looking for for a while. A friend of mine had one new and it was love at first sight. So after 40 years I finally pulled the trigger. Its a 1967 Plymouth GTX, 440, stick with a Dana 60 rear axel. Boy am I stoked. I sold my 2001 Z06 in January, then sold my 66 in February. This isn't my first Mopar as I had a 1971 Cuda 440 six pack that I sold in 1984 with only 18,000 miles, boy was I dumb then.

I'm still gonna visit here regularly cause I still have some knowledge about Vettes unless I get branded as a traitor. I wonder am I now exempt from any Tampa Bay Sunday Vette cruises in my 67 GTX with you people ?

Nothing like a Big Block Mopar

Nice looking car!!
On Vette cruises, you could act as a road guard so all the Vettes can get through intersections without stopping.

my first love was my 1971 dodge challenger sure miss that car, good luck youve got a beauty.

That's the ride to have... '71 Challenger:thumbsup: :crazy03:

I am a MOPAR person at heart. My 1st car was a 1970 R/T SE Challenger with the 383 Magnum. At the same time I bought a 1971 with the 383 and the Hurst Pistol Grip 4 speed.
The 70 Plymouth Superbird was to be my 1st car for $2,500.00 in 1974, but Dad said no and found me the Challenger instead.

I've never owned a Mopar myself, for some reason. But if I had a time machine, I sure as hell would go back and buy one of those Hemi 'Cudas. AND a couple of tankers full of that CHEAP gasoline back then as well....

Hey Nytro, glad to see you back! :yesnod:

Mopar is fine with me, and I am sure most of use have some horror stories about off loading previous cars. Like the '55 Chevy Bel Air 2 dr., that I pulled the 265/powerglide and dropped in a 283/220 horse with a close ratio 3 speed out of a '60 Corvette. I did a ton of work on that car and sold it in 1971 for a little less than a grand. Man, I don't like to think about that one!

Welcome back! And thanks for the great advise on Adam Pitale. Great guy, great products! Zaino no more!

Thanks for all the kind words. I forgot what it was like to have a Mopar. Noticed a small oil leak a few minutes ago. It was red fluid, I looked at my wife and said pitman arm seal. Jacked it up and sure enough the steering box is leaking, very common on these cars. I can't wait to get the seals and get my hands dirty, been a long time, I mean both my Vettes very rarely needed work. Can't wait to break in the motor and get on it. hehehehehe

Best of luck with it! We had a Dodge Charger back in the old days. Don't be a stranger around here, though
