Hi, I just found out about this forum today and look forward to meeting new people.
To explain the title of this thread......well I am in the Navy and am stationed in Jax but my family lives in Pensacola so I am there on weekends.
I have a 2001 Quick Silver Z06 with a Ligenfelter Head and cam package on it.
If I see a Vette I will be waving!!!!

BTW, a little bit of Florida triva here. I read somewhere that back in the olden days, the Florida legislature used to alternately convene for sessions in Jacksonville and Pensacola (I guess the peninsula was basically inaccessible back then. Well they eventually got tired of that shuffle, so they came up with the idea of picking a spot in the center between both towns and make that the permanent capital of Florida. Therefore, Tallahassee was born. :D

Yeah, that drive gets to be a PITA sometimes. I make it every weekend. I guess I end up putting about 1000 a week on the Vette, but thats what I bought it for!

I have seen a LOT of Vettes around the Jax area and a couple new C6 Z06s. VERY NICE hotrods for sure. Someday maybe I'll have one.

Shadow, I fly helicopters now, LCDR. I have flown almost everything in the Navy's current helo inventory except the MH-53E. But I used to work on those when I was a young enlisted fella, AO3, in the late 80s.

How about you? What did you do?
 
Hey I know this guy and car. Nice to see you Jim, glad you and yours are safe. This is a nice site and ya know what, the people here all have something in common, no they all don't just drive Vettes, they all live in Florida.
 
Welcome to the site Jim! I basically have the same car as you, '01 QS Z, minus the heads and cam! And I have black Motorsports. One day I'll add a H/C package. Bet that thing flies. :dancer01:
