Hey guys,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I just accepted a position at Cape Canaveral working for Lockheed Martin and will be moving your way in early August. If anyone knows someone that's willing to rent to me for a few months and allows pets (3 dogs and 3 cats between the lady and I), let me know! :]

Got my vette ~2 years ago. It's a Arctic White 2000 MN6 Coupe. As for mods, I have Borla Quad Stingers, Hurst shifter, C6Z51 Sway Bars, R-D Crossbar/Harness, Blackwing Air Intake and some misc stuff. I was hoping to throw on a set of Corbeau A4s this summer, but I'm getting married in 3 weeks so between that and the move my money is pretty tight.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you guys. I've been pretty active in the car community down here. I turn my own wrenches (when I can) and I've learned a lot from the local community. Hopefully I can join you all on some drives soon. I can be found under the same name at the CorvetteForum.

Chime, did somebody say chime!!???:hehehe:

Yep...that NASA guy sure will! :lmao:

Go to the Cape Kennedy Corvette Club portion of this site and I've written a bit of boring prose about this side of the state.

Oh yea, keep your hand on your wallet about these guys! :hehehe: But since I read that your car, the move and the soon to be married thing gives your wallet the big sucking sound, I shouldn't halfta worry about whats in it any time soon! :rofl1:

We got in last night.. the vette is still in transport though and I won't get it until August 23rd. I'm stuck driving a rental VW for now :[ Luckily my motorcycle came in but I found out that I need to wear an orange vest/boots on the base and I don't have those yet, so I'm stuck with the VW.

I've been seeing tons of vettes around here.. it's making me jealous!

With over 58,000 pieces of 'glass'

...registered to the roads of Florida, I'm sure u'll be seeing a few! :hehehe:

Glad to have u finally make it across our 'legal' borders! Did ja bring papers?? :hehehe::welcome:

There are plenty of clubs...with no end in sight, on the amount of events, cruises, etc., here in Florida, that will keep your Corvette pallet wet! Be ready to join the folks that add mileage to their cars because there is so much to do!

This is the wrong state to live if u have a Corvette, and its' a trailer queen!:rofl1:

So if I wanted to explore the base while I'm here, will it be obvious when I get somewhere I shouldn't be? Back in TX there were clear markings in areas that you weren't supposed to be at so I knew where to stop.

Tampa Tuner

Ive lived on both coasts of Florida. Take the heat out of the picture, and I love the tampa area, but I like the pace and beach life style from Ft. Pierce to Patrick's AFB

welcome to the club

I've lived in Tampa and now Titusville...so, I got to visit, with some frequency, both air bases. Visiting Patrick AFB is now the norm. There was no problem getting around either base. Enjoy either one...there're nice!
