New Project. 74 454 4 speed

Ms. AntiVenom

Vicious Evil Person
We get calls everyday from people selling their cars, we just pass the info to others, this time everyone in the family got involved after hearing it was what it was. Kevin got in his ZR1 and Picked up dad and they went to look at it within 10 mins:lmao: We picked her up this morning.

I just can believe the shape its in and its untouched. Its being restored numbers matching of course. Not much work we will have to do. I almost want to keep it for myself:lmao:

Looks like I may be a Corvette owner :dancer01::dancer01::dancer01::dancer01:

I want her, BAD she shined up well today. And it looks like she just might could be mine. Hmmmmm Pink pin striping and 454 lettering.....:lmao:

The leaves and dirt were the only thing making this pole bane kept car looking old.

Rich, I think these cars just keep falling on my lap so I can quit picking on him for owning so many.

If I put a pink pinstripe on it he might not take it away from me.

Very nice!!!! I had one like that back when i was 18. except mine was a 76...but it had that same notch back window.......well I think that's what they call that LOL......my dad took it back after I got a reckless driving ticket in it...he sold it and bought me a 6 cyl mustang :banghead:

Your dads cruel:rofl1::rofl1:
This was the last year for the emissions law thing.. Thats my knowledged of the 74, im only ever around 71 down when it comes to C3s. Ive been wanting one for a while, its the body style from when I was born.

Greg's first was a 79. and he was 18 almost 19 and in the air force then.

My first vette I bought in 74 when I graduated from High School.....red 1974 454 auto, silver int, power everything. Only kept it a few years but man I wish I still had it!

I kind of wish this was auto.I know that sounds bad but Im scared for my hands to lock up while Im shifting. I know its a longshot but I always think of thing that could happen.

I asked him last night. If I ended up with it as my own would he put an LSx 454 in it, and he said over his dead body! "Its a numbers matching 454 4speed car, Corvettes last real big block" It is now worth more than a C-5 Coupe, These things are just climbing in value now. And its in really great shape, Just dirty and needs bumpers, O and the motor dropped back in:rofl1:

454

HD Channel 720 has been running alot of rerun Mecum auction sales with a ton of vettes. Good to check out to see what current pricing is on restored numbers matching cars. Lots of 60's vettes are going for $50-100K and above. Most are frame off restored cars, but a few have been
unmolested cars. Many with big buck are investing in cars for a good return.
Had a ZL1 Camaro going for $500K.

Heck, that's no big deal. Probably would be smart to pull that original motor and put it on ice while you drive the car using a crate motor anyway. That way you get the best of both worlds. When you are done playing with it and want to sell it, just pop the original motor back in.

Piece of cake....
