New Track Wheels

shakedown067

Sinister C4
Cleaned up and painted the wheels I got from RevXtreme. Much wider and fit great. Can't wait till my next autocross. Man these crapyears are loud...and I haven't gotten past 35mph yet. Don't know how anyone drives on these things. Can't wait to get a set of Nitto 555R II's for them. :dancer01:

Test Fit. Almost good enough to keep them as is...

Filling up the wheel well nicely.

Thanks. It's still a 10 foot paint job as the paint ran on some of the spokes, but for autocross wheels, I think they look great. Some of the pitted areas didn't take paint too well and the paint will flake off easily, but I really love how they feel up the fender well. I knew I should have bought this style wheel instead of the Y2Ks. When it's time to replace the tires, I'll probably looking into having them stripped or I'll really get after them with a file and sandpaper.

All you need now is a good set of slicks. How about a set of michelins? I got a set with plenty of life left in them. :D

REALLY? I'm a HUGE fan of michelins. How are they cold? They'll mainly be seeing autocross duty. How much you want to let them go for?

Put the wheels on last night to test them out today before the autocross on Sunday. The crapyears are slicker than hell. Then looking at the photo, the rears kinda look cambered out, so maybe the suspension hasn't settled yet from jacking up the car last night. Then again, maybe it just looks like it in the photo and the tires are just hard and worn out. Well at least I have new HUGE kumhos coming in march. 295/40/17 & 315/35/18. Oh yeah! Hopefully the new wheels will only miss February's autocross.
