Hello folks, :wavey:

Just wanted to say hello. Found this place while lurking over @ CF.com and thought i would lurk here as well.... nice to find a corvette forum catered to the Plywood state!!

Anyways, I don't have vette yet, just doing some research and waiting for "The One". Hope ya dont mind me hanging around the water cooler. I'm really learning alot about these cars just from reading past & present posts from all you guys. Its great!! Gives me alot to do durning work ;)

Great site you guys have going here!!

Naw, we chat with corvette enthusiasts (since we all are)! If you love Vettes and are looking to get one then you won't be disappointed when you make the leap! I LOVE VETTES!:wavey: Welcome!

:welcome: Heck, I hung out at a couple of Corvette forums myself before I bought mine. Good way to pick up the lingo and figure out what mistakes you SHOULDN'T make when it comes time to buy. When looking at buying an expensive car, it makes sense to be armed with some knowledge about what you are planning on buying.

So don't hesitate if you have questions. Someone around here will be able to help you.

Hey Chris! Welcome to the site. It's definitely a good idea to do some research before spending the money. If I had to do it all over again, I would have. I don't regret my decision one bit, I just think I could have done a little better.
Stick around, ask some questions, and "the one" will pop up when you least expect it.

Scott

:welcome: to the site. Your vette is out there and you'll know it when you find it. :yesnod:
In the mean time, have fun here. Make sure you have a camera, though. Cause when you do find "the one" we want to see pictures

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone!! I am having a pretty good time in the search for "the one", i get giddy everytime i go out to test drive one i'm like a kid in a candy store! I will definately share pics of the unicorn when i find it!!

Thanks again!

chris

How about a definition of "the one"? What exactly are you looking for?

Thats a tough answer, as i dont really have a model or color set in stone yet. If i had to make a list, top would be blk on blk coupe, then MY on blk, then TR on blk. Out of those 3 if it hits the tri-fecta (price, mileage, condition) then thats "The One"...

i'm patient.

Well, from everything I am hearing and seeing, it's pretty much a buyer's market right now. Inventories are high and people just don't seem to be buying much. So NOW is the time to REALLY start looking hard.

A lot of car salesmen sure would like to make some numbers before the end of the year. ;)

So when you see something you want, throw a lowball figure at 'em. What's the worst that could happen?
