Not sure if anyone gives a damn but......

I"m concerned with the entire field this election. Sad group of options all around with all things considered.

As far as the VP goes, I have to be concerned. There's obvious concern for either presidential candidate's ability to complete thier term in office. This is one election where I'd say we really need to focus on the VP slot.

As far as his selection, the jury's still out for me. I don't know enough about her to make a decision and haven't had the time to do my own research.

I was listening to her "qualifications" when he announced the other day.

Her history is good, and I like the fact that she makes a decision and aparently stands by it:thumbsup:

She has some GREAT life experiences and I like her stand on the 2nd ammendment:thumbsup: I also think she has (until she neutered by "real" politics:rofl1:) the balls to stand up to corporate pressure and political opposition:thumbsup:

Unfortunately, there were points he mentioned as "qualifications" that just don't seem to make sense to me?

Motherhood? - As we all know, this is the toughest job on earth!:thumbsup:But being a mother doesn't qualify one for the Vice Presidency any more than being a father.

Child with special needs?- Children with special needs are some of the most prescious children on Gods earth:thumbsup: And her decision not to abort was an honorable one. That said, I still don't see how that "Qualifies" one for the VP seat (unless it's about her ability to stand by her decisions?)

A son soon to deploy?-Again, I have all the respect in the world for her son, and once he's completed his tour, if he wants to run for some office, I might be inclined to consider him:thumbsup:But she's not going anywhere!
There are thousands of families across our country that have sons and daughters serving in the military and many in direct harms way:( That again, doesn't "qualify" one to serve as VP!! This was and is, a heart strings tug, a rah-rah move on the part of the McCain camp to sway voters by jerking thier "Patriotism" strings:thumbsdown:

I'm happy her son volunteered to serve in the Army:thumbsup:I'm sorry he's deploying to the middle east:(

But this doesn't make "HER" qualified to lead.

Commander and Chief of the Alaska National Guard? - SImply stated...BY DEFAULT:rolleyes:

I'm not making a big deal out of this just yet:NoNo: She's the C-n-C of the Alaska National Guard because she's the Governor of Alaska! As far as I know, she's never served a day in the military???

Hyping that point, without first noting some accomplishments specific to that position while in office, just doesn't hold water:thumbsdown:

I'm certainly not opposed to a female VP:thumbsup: No more than I'm opposed to a black Preident:thumbsup:

I don't give a damned if they were green and bi-sexual, as long as they're QUALIFIED!

There were those onthe Democratic side (I'm a dem BTW), that were touting her "inexperience" in leadership; however, they need to look no further than thier own presidential candidate for the same lack of leadership qualities:(

Might want to reconsider before tossing that rock!

Since I have a basic and inherrent distrust for most if not all politician and talking media heads, (most have an agenda), I prefer to do my own homework. Looks like I've got some work to do:thumbsup:

...Hows that for an answer?

Whatever your views on this election, you have to admit that McCain has a pretty good taste in women. :D

But I vote for Paris Hilton. Her ad made the most sense. :rofl1:

There is only one person that knows how to make moose stew.As an independent I read and do a lot of research on all of them ,good and bad.My one little vote won't make much difference but i'll try to make the correct choice .

Since God forbid there is always the chance that neither presidential candidate may be able to finish their term in office, you also need to look at which VP will be the most qualified to lead this great nation...

Absolutely! That really was more my point:thumbsup:

And all I care about is qualifications:thumbsup:

How's this for a ticket?

President-Jesse Ventura
VP-Colin Powell
(or vice versa)

Then, for fun:

Chief of Foreign Affairs-Paris Hilton
Chief of Homeland Security-Cheny (Only because he's not afraid to open fire on a constituent:rofl1::rofl1:)
Director of the CIA......who else....Da SHADOW!:lmao::lmao:
