Obama speaking here in Tampa

He inherited a Democracy,I don't know where he is taking us................

Actually, no he didn't. We are a Constitutional Republic. A fact few people really recognize is that Democrats wish to overthrow this form of government created by the U.S. Constitution. We are NOT a democracy!

Quite frankly, until the house, senate, and office of the president are occupied by Independents, we will always remain in the same stew the government is in now. "Independent". THINK about what that term means in relation to a representative in office. Who or what are they NOT dependent upon?

Definition:

A constitutional republic is a state where the head of state and other officials are elected as representatives of the people, and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over citizens.

In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers are separated into distinct branches and the will of the majority of the population is tempered by protections for individual rights so that no individual or group has absolute power.

The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power makes the state constitutional. That the head(s) of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions, and that their decisions are subject to judicial review makes a state republican.

Despite whatever he inherited and/or whoever he inherited it from, its going to take time and everyones patience and assistance to get out of the mess thats been building up for the past 9 years...And BTW, I did not vote for Barry either...just giving him the benefit of doubt...I was hearing on NPR the other day that his policies right now are not that far off from George's...thats a scary thought too...

First of all I want you to know I respect you. I cannot for the life of me understand where you are coming from but I give you kudos for standing up for your beliefs.

This has not been building for 9 years. Obuma and his Socialist agenda have been in office one year. To date they have refused to work with the other side. He said last night that Republicans only vote no. He said they do not offer alternatives. He stood there and LIED. Google the GOP health plan. Notice it goes back to at least Jan, 2009.

Look at Rich's post. We are a Republic. They are bound by the Constitution to represent us, not control us. I am sick of his crap and want him out of there. Congress should be working together and running the country.

How can you give him the benefit of doubt? He leaves no doubt. He's a control freak and thinks he knows best. All you or he has to do is look at a history book. Everything he proposes has been tried and failed.

He had the audacity to berate the Supreme Court in front of all last night. They sat there and listened to his crap. They should have walked out of there. This guy is clueless and bad mannered to boot.

I'm ready to rumble, bring it on. :reddevil:

On one of my other sites I have this as my signature line:

Definition of a TRUE Democracy: Two wolves and one sheep voting on what's for dinner....

Which seems just fine, unless YOU are that sheep.

With regards to the shot against the Supreme Court, its been done 3 times before (T Roosevelt, J Carter & R Reagan) and its allowed by government or public entities...The Supreme Court like anyone else in government are entitled to a reality check once in a while...

It is great to see that we on this forum can have lively debates without getting personal like on some of the other forums...lets keep it up

My point is he shouldn't have done it in front of millions of people with them being held captive. I think that is total BS. I see you did your home work though.

Most political forums are just people bashing people. Go look at the one on Yellow Bullet. It's nauseating. I just don't see the point. Now quit being nice and bring it on. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Look at you guys, I go away for a dayish and you just got a build up of laughs for me!

We are trying to support your thread. Either start a new one or get back in here. :D I also want you to notice how nice we are to the Liberals. They really need our help and it doesn't do any good to holler at them. If we're nice, they may reconsider and switch. :rofl1:

Actually, why the hell should they care what he or anyone else thinks about them?

The old farts are there for life or until thier ready to leave:rolleyes:

As far as politic's and politicians, Dave Ramsey says it best.

Don't waste time worrying about things in which you can't effect change, and spend your time on things that you can control:thumbsup:(pp)
