OK Guys,...Here's our Plan!!

Here is an interesting approach!!

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America
in a "We Deserve It Dividend".

To make the math simple, let’s assume there are
200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+. Our population is
about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child.
So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So
divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals
$425,000.00.

Our plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
"We Deserve It Dividend". Of course, it would NOT
be tax free. So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%. Every
individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends
$25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their
pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your
family?
• Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
• Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads

•Put away money for college – it’ll be there
• Save in a bank – create money to loan to
entrepreneurs.
• Buy a new car – create jobs
• Invest in the market – capital drives growth
• Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health
care improves
• Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including
the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every
other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those
serving in our Armed Forces.

If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do
it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 (“vote
buy”) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of
our candidates for President.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail
out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG –
• liquidate it.
• Sell off its parts.
• Let American General go back to being American General.

• Sell off the real estate.
• Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and
clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “Never Work Now” because of Pork Belly Spending and Wast of our Politicians in Washington!
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell
Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the
$85 billion We deserve the "We Deserve It
Dividend" more than the geniuses at AIG or in
Washington DC.

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5
billion because $25.5 billion is returned instantly in taxes
to Uncle Sam.

Unfortunatly, this is the kind of math that got us into this mess to begin with. 85 billion divided by 200 million is only $495.00 per person....

Yep,Nobody reads the fine print or does the math anymore!!
But Hey,it looked good in print!!

In this case 1 in 54!!:lmao: :D

Every Adult?

Sounds good ..except for the minimal age limit. I'd want the age limit to be higher, like maybe 21 :shrug01:. Could you imagine a bunch of teenagers running around with that kind of money? NTM, IMO, they really haven't "earned" it yet. By that I mean, they haven't paid enough to Uncle Same yet. NTM, our military would go to chit  really quick because, no one would need to join.
Also, I'd have a problem with those who've been milking the Government their whole life and those who've not been Productive citizens.

Ok Ray,Lets amend it to,Everybody over 45 that has had a Real Job of at least 20 years!!:thumbsup:

PS. See post #7 !!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah, what is it with this bailout crap anyway? It's us taxpayers who are supposed to pay for bad business decisions these banks made? Now why should we? They certainly didn't send us all dividend checks when they were making money hand over fist now did they? They never GAVE us stock in their companies, so why should we be liable for their financial failures? We are NOT stockholders in those businesses!

There was a quote in this morning's newspaper that made me chuckle...

Let me get this straight. People who couldn't afford houses as nice as mine bought houses nicer than mine, and now the government wants me to make their mortgage payments?

:yesnod:

Nobody in Washington is asking for our opinion on how to spend OUR money to bail out the companies that financed the people that couldn't afford these homes in the first place!?! (like that's a big surprise)

Exactly my opinion. But then again, I don't have a ****load of debt pulling me down, so the economy getting worse doesn't really effect me too much right now.

Since Junk asked me to me his running mate I need to reply to this misguided claim.

We're using the basic mathematical calculations that have been approved by congress. It's the same modified math used by the other opponents.;)

Yeah Steve, That's the same math that lets you put 37 gallons of gas in your Vette and then get 42 MPG with it.:lmao::lmao::lmao:
