how can you tell if a C3 (1972) was built with PS, PB and/or PW? Please don't say look for boosters and resivors as they might indicate if those are currently present but what about how it came from the factory?

in some cases it is possible to get a copy of the original dealer invoice from the factory. it shows all the factory installed equipment and the factory to dealer pricing. GM has contracted that service out. it used to be free from gm, but once the word spread that in some cases the info was still available, it got out of control (or i guess it became a case of GM not wanting to take the time or effort to research their remaining archives from st louis. the bulk of the records were either destroyed or thrown out at the time. they were only retained for 1 previous year and then were tossed as they were replaced by the last model year's records). it now cost $50.00 to get a copy if it's available (i don't remember exactly, but i seem to remember that it only went through the 79 model year, but i certainly could be wrong). in my opinion, it was the best $50.00 i've spent to date. from it i was able to get a real duplicate of the window sticker from the company licensed by GM to do it, not to mention the info on the birth of the car. if you look around at the corvette forum or corvette action center, i know there are some lengthy threads on the subject.
